Default Novak Djokovic - Tommy Haas QF Shanghai

Tommy is playing some great tennis but I pick Djokovic in two, with one of the sets going to a breaker.

Tommy was surprisingly competitive with Djokovic in Canada. He's getting older, but he's probably the fresher of the two considering how much tennis they've both played this year. Hoping for a good match.

Tommy has 499 career wins after his last match...this would be a nice win for 500 if he can pull it off

Cool

Well back in the 2009 Djokovic had a lot of problems with Haas, but that was on grass! On HC it's a other story, maybe Haas get one TB set. Djokovic in 2

If Nole plays like he has recently it shouldn't be a problem.

Haas can take a set if he plays real well. Win the match....nope unless Nole plays dirt poor which he hasn't since the US final.

Wouldn't be surprised if Haas took a set, but I think Novak in 2.

Take 5 years and 2 injuries off Haas and people would be like: "This Novak guy could take a set if he redlines and Tommy plays dogshite". Helas injuries change the game.

Hewitt multi-slam #1 ==injury==> barely top 200 bum

Del Potro back to back Fedal wins to take a GS ==injury==> may never win another tournament

Haas world #2 slam contender ==injury==> people applaud when he gets a top 50 win

This only proves how much damage slowing down the surfaces has done to tennis. Make it a fast surface and you see Djokovic winning while playing great defense AND offense. Guy actually has to attack and go for big serves. If this was a slower court, you would see less aggression.

Since we all love h2h records, it is important to note that Novak's days of having a losing record against Haas are over.
