In today's pro tennis game exceptional athleticim is a must. There are very few American juniors who have it. Lebron Kobe are 2 of the best in the world athletically. My kid who was top 5 in the section now says, looking back, he never would have been that high if tennis attracted better athletes. I am shocked that the top 10 in our
section are not better athletes.

JM, do you remember Josh R? Think he was #1 in 10s and 12s, real good player with nice one-hand backhand. Trained at Carson for a while then wanted to play football... I hear he's a great quarterback now and may get recruited by a big-time program.

She is not even close to the level of my kid.
You seem reluctant to present evidence of how good your girl actually is (video).. and that will ofcourse make some people wonder if what you postulate is true..
Iīll repeat my offer: We are in Florida in december - how about a practice match between your girl and my boy?

My boy (10) holds up pretty well in boys u12 in our neck of the woods (small country) but I am not sure at all that he would beat the best US u12 girl.

It could serve as a wake up call for all of us (you, I, my boy - and, depending on how you present the match to your girl, to her too) - besides providing some substance to your claims.
Let them play and we will publicise the result here. We are there for a tournament and could use the practice - what do you say?

^While you are at it, make sure to get a court right next to them, so you two can play a couple of sets. Even better, play for the usual. A dollar a set, both courts.

Tape it, script it and pitch it to a reality show exec! Everybody wins.

Here's the soundtrack for you.

I just like the strings.
And the bass and the keyboards.

They are great athletes and great basketball players but I can't see them beeing best tennis players. Best basketball players who would have made it as tennis players ? Give me A medium size point guard who likes to shoot. A Derrick rose, Steve Nash, Ricky Rubio(never mind, he's Spanish).

Same thing with base ball Forget about you batting champs and Cy young winners, get me a shortstop who steals bases and hit .299.

You're one of those people who will argue with a sign post. About anything. Someone starts an interesting discussion about Wayne Bryan's thoughts and it immediately becomes about you and your daughter. You are childish like kids on a playground claiming "my dad can beat up your dad".

I'll say anything I want on here buddy, if you don't like it don't read it. Oh, and my daughter can beat your daughter any day of the week.

If you want to say the same thing for the 1000th time about Wayne Bryan or the USTA changes, go for it. Those who want to read it will.

My daughter would wipe up the court with your daughter. And my dog is better looking than your dog. My grandfather is taller than yours. Hey, I thought you were Mr. Mature?
TCF, time to take another break from this board.

No TCF. Lebron one of greatest athletes ever any sport. Saw him live. TV does not do him justice. If he wanted to play tennis no doubt he would be a great player. We delude ourselves becuase we need to believe in the greatness our kids. It hurts to think they have gotten to the top of the junior rankings by default, i.e. the better athletes bypassing tennis.

2. Sorry, saw your videos, I think I might have offered some advice, I forget. Different planets. No your kid could not hang with any of the 12s girls talked about here. And my girl would literally embarrass him. In fact she would HATE playing him. She HATES playing people that she beats badly.

I can remember off hand 3 times when delusional parents have asked to play her in practice. She beat one boy and he cried the last 3 games. That night on Skype I heard her tell her grandpa that she hated tennis because of it. Took me days to get her back on the court.

Frankly....take 10 steps back. If you think your boy would have any chance of winning a game vs Abby, Nicole, or Grace, you are borderline insane! And unless your boy is different than every other boy, getting owned by a girl at that age is not going to be a nice day for him.

His forehand looks better but he still is backing up like he is afraid of the ball. He is not getting his mass behind the ball. The elite kids will move him back and then slice the heck out of him. Seriously, work over the next few years to break his habit of backing up on everything. My girl would blast a topspin ground stroke to the baseline and then follow with a slice or dropper that he would not get within 3 feet of hitting.

Also, his take back is huge compared to good players. With that take back he will not have time to respond on the move or to the pace of better players. He also will have more unforced errors, more to go wrong. He also does not get the racquet into the slot and will not generate enough topspin to hit with enough pace yet keep the ball in bounds. Those girls would eat his flatter balls for lunch.

Before wondering if he can beat those 12s at least let him play some elite kids. The levels of tennis in FL. are light years from where you live. You were posting less than a year ago that he was still using green balls for goodness sakes! Now he is going to play with players who have been taking regulation balls on the rise for 5 years? Come on now. Walk before you try to sprint.

I wish posters like you would realize that I could care less who believes what. My girl may be playing hoops only by age 10, who knows. I posted facts that she happens to be a tennis freak as of today. That means absolutely nothing long term. Who cares? I would think there are girls her age even better somewhere in Russia right now. Again, so what? They are kids who most likely will not do a thing in tennis as adults except for play in some adult leagues.
Look we all know you are never going to meet anyone here or let your daughter play anyone here.

And we all know why.

No need to insult yet another tennis kid to try to cover your tracks.

He was and under achiever in his sporting years and if he was half the coach I am and could get close to producing what I have it would be up on youtube in a second .

You can bet he is a teaching pro "dime a dozen" and when someone has a better prodigy he explodes and lashes out , out in CA Mr.B has delt with his type all the time we know his language , thats why i have posted over time that he is parks and rec tennis coach and if tenniscp is correct then will have his name up soon and you will see I have been correct the whole time.

Will let you know who he is soon and someone will have video of his kid soon on here and trust me she wont be that special and he will pipe down.

No, getting owned by a 8 year old girl would not be a nice day for him but he does not expect every single match to be "nice". I am sure that he would appreciate your girlīs amazing talent (should it turn out to be as you describe it).

Although I doubt your conclusion, I appreciate the feedback.

I was not wondering if he could beat those 12s - you are the one who postulated that your kid can beat them, remember.?

Yes, he was using green balls a year ago (still uses them regularly since all u12 tournaments uses them here) so we are, to use your metaphor, still walking - but we also like to sprint occasionally.

You do not care what we believe - and then you assure us that it is a fact that your girl is a tennis freak.. Got it.
