Gosen?

Usually the only string from them that I see or hear about people using from Gosen is the OG sheep micro. Personally I've tried the OG sheep micro and liked it as a cross with a poly but how are Gosen's other string offerings?

Sidewinder Poly( Eggpower in Europe) is pretty cool.
So is Polymaster. Different.

I use the Polylon 16 and 17 for some rackets..... People either hate or love the string....

I'm not using it right now, but I liked Polylon Comfort 17 when I tried it crossed with OGSM, for a poly it was fairly comfortable.

I just tried Gosen TecFlex this weekend. It was about average for a multifilament string.

Gosen is a great value string.

To answer your question, just buy a set and try it.

I use Polyon 17 as the crosses in a hybrid setup, with OG Micro 17 in the mains. Nice feel, decent spin. Very inexpensive. A pack of Polyon is like $3.00.

Gosen has its ups and downs. It's multis are lack luster, but the synthetic seems to be the buy of the decade.

The polys seem to be doing well performance wise from what i've read, but its all subjective.

I'd say pick a string that sounds like something you'd like to try and fits your game and go for it.

OP: I assume you look at the Customer Reviews/Feedback for strings on the TW storefront. Most strings have customer feedback.

Great as a cross with BHBR, not so much as a full bed. OG sheep micro that is.

I've tried polyon comfort 17 as well.

at high tension it was decent but don't play with it too long at high tension (or even low) or else you could have elbow problems. it was just as nice and a tad bit more pop and bite at lower tension.

OG Sheep is nice and crisp.

I'm a fan of the Sidewinder. Glad TW is finally carrying it in reels. Not the cheapest poly, but in my opinion it's worth it for my game. My previous setup was BHBR, which has a lot of the same qualities of Sidewinder in my opinion, but was just too brittle and lacked elasticity. I'm getting close to twice as many hours out of the Sidewinder and feel it suits my game even better than BHBR did.

Wouldn't hurt to pick up a set to see if you like it. The cost per set really comes down if you get it in a reel. I can easily get 18 sets out of a reel, and at $155 it's about $8.60 per set versus $13.50. Even better if you consider the 2 for 1 deal TW currently has on the Sidewinder reels.

I use Polylon for stringing other's racquets. No complaints from ppl.

I strung up a racquet with Gosen Tecflex a few weeks ago and hit with it for several hours. Stringing it was pretty weird -- it seems to just keep stretching forever, even after pre-stretching it. Pulling at 58 pounds, I needed to give it a good 30 seconds on each pull before the stretching would stop. I've never worked with a string this stretchy. But it's limp and smooth, very easy to work with.

On the court, a full bed of it feels pretty soft and seems to have good energy and control. Spin potential felt pretty low. Probably a good option for flat-hitters with elbow or shoulder problems. Like Mikeler, I'd rank it in the middle of the pack on the multis I've used.
