Thanks! They haven't updated their website yet so I wasn't sure. I'm close enough to try to go to at least one day of play if I can figure out how to get away from the kids. Any guess when a draw would be posted somewhere?

The draws for the Regional Championships have been released. All nine Illini are in the draws. Hoh was seeded No. 11, Hiltzik is No. 13 and Abdelnour is at No. 14.. Five other Illini are unseeded while Jesse and Childers are in the qualifying draw. Play starts Thursday, October 18. Good luck to the Illini!

The women's qualifying draw has also been released. Kedzierski, O'Connor and Jamieson are playing for a spot in the main draw. Good luck to the ladies!

ITA Regional Illini Draws and Results

At the Mansfield Futures tournament, Rowe and doubles teammate Vahid Mirzadeh defeated Andrew Carter/Michael Rubin in the 1st round, 3rd seeds Chase Buchanan/Tennys Sandgren in the quarterfinals, and then #1 seeds Devin Britton/Austin Krajicek to advance to the final. Good wins!

At the 2nd day of the ITA ******* Regionals, six Illini men and all four Illini men's doubles advance to the 2nd round! On the women's side, Kopinski/White advance to the final 16. Women's singles main draw starts today. Go Illini!

After the third day of the Mid-West Regionals, four Illini men are into the quarterfinals and one doubles team are into the doubles quarters. Great result by the Illini! Page and Kopinski will play each other tomorrow for a spot in the final four.
For the women, Kopinski/White have advanced to the final eight, while Kopinski and Falkin have advanced to the round of 16.

Results slowly coming in... Kopinski beat Page and advances to the semifinals. Hiltzik also won his semifinal. Kopinski/Gosea into men's doubles final. Falkin has advanced to the women's quarters and Kopinski/White has advanced to the women's doubles final.

Final results from the ******* Regionals for the Illini. Tim Kopinski/Farris Gosea win the men's doubles title, Melissa Kopinski/Rachael White win the women's doubles title, four Illini make it to the men's quarterfinals, Kopinski and freshman Jared Hiltzik finish in final four, Allison Falkin finish in women's final four. Good tournament for the Illini!

It really looks like the Illini are going to be what we thought; no #1 or #2 players but a solid #3-6. The one surprise maybe has been the doubles. It was the worst part of the team last year and they didn't even filed 3 doubles teams when they played Notre Dame last year. Could it be a strength this year? It sure needs to be if we have no #1 or #2 yet.

On the pro circuit, Anderson made it to both the singles and doubles quarterfinals at the Swiss Indoors. He gave No. 2 seed Del Potro a run for his money but lost. The results are getting a bit better so hopefully he is on his way back after that dreadful summer.

Dennis Nevolo made it to the quarterfinals of the Birmingham Futures by upsetting #8 seed Danile Nguyen and lost a close 3-setter to the top seed. He also made it to the doubles quarters so good results for him.

Roelofse won the doubles title and is in the singles final at the Nigeria Futures. This is his 7th futures tile this year.

The Illini are playing Texas A&M, Oklahoma and LSU this weekend in the Conference Challenge in college Station this weekend. The Illini site has posted absolutely nothing about it so far so will have to keep an eye on the other sites.
