I think Pinney is trying to collect more revenues on tennis. They were accepting wagers for the doubles matches in Davis Cup. That is the 1st time I've ever seen action on doubles.

did you bet on any of the matches? I noticed Javier Sanchez replaced Emilio Sanchez in the field.

Bruguera played pretty bad his last event, Pioline & Krajicek destroyed him(on hardcourt)
I don't think their pro career has any relation to how players do on the senior tour. Some guys take this seriously, other treat it like an exhibition.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the lesser names win, Costa, Sanchez etc win.

Check the Rios thread in pro player to see Mac's response to Rios "calling him out."

Carlos Costa d. John McEnroe 7-6(10), 1-6, 10-7

Its interesting that the senior tour lets no names on the tour(like Costa, Jaite, Javier Sanchez, Woodforde, Mark Kratzman, etc)

Would any of you pay for a final anticipating a McEnroe-Ivanisevic match & not be disappointed that you have to watch Carlos Costa play Paul Haarhuis?
Wonder if they are really making any money with this venture.
