I'm suspicious of USADA's motives.

Cycling is not a major sport in the US so it's kinda too easy for them to jump on Armstrong without ruffling a lot of feathers.

The fact remains that the USADA has dun diddly squat ZERO nada NOTHING against the MLB, the NFL, NBA, NHL, athletics, swimming and so forth. Yet they DO have the authority to swoop on them just as much.

Until they do that I have no choice but lump them with the UCI and all the other sports authorities who do things only in order to brush their own rep and not really to wipe out doping.

There is no doping in any other sport. Just bicycle riders do it. Look at how fast they pedal. I can't pedal that fast and I'm a 4.5.

Did armstrong really have cancer?
Or is it part of the hero story?
Just askin...
It wouldnt be a surprise as they managed to build the perfect sport fraud based on doping lies. The cancer could also be big lie...
I'm amazed when you watch armstrong's interviews and how the guy is lying, arrogant attitude...

Well, some believe that delving into PED's and other doping methods is what brought upon the cancer in the first place. There's that alleged conversation where he in his hospital bed when he was asked if he was doping/taking PED's. According to the witness, Lance answered "yes."

Lance Armstrong results in peril

NEW YORK -- Lance Armstrong's results erased from the record books will likely include his 2006 and 2007 New York City Marathon results as well as his 2008 Boston Marathon result, according to reports.

Marathon organizer New York Road Runners said in a statement Wednesday it expected to wipe out his times once any potential appeals play out, since the race follows USADA rulings, according to a Runner's World report. Tom Grilk, executive director of the Boston Athletic Association, told Runner's World the Boston Marathon would act similarly.

"We understand from USA Track & Field that they and we are required to follow the rulings of USADA in this area," read the statement.

Paced by running greats Alberto Salazar, Joan Benoit *******on and Hicham El Guerrouj, Armstrong finished in 2 hours, 59 minutes, 36 seconds in his first marathon. After training more the following year, he completed the 26.2 miles in 2:46:43 to place 232nd in 2007.

NYRR says cancer foundation Livestrong will still be a part of the marathon "and we will always remember the support and encouragement Lance gave to (nine-time NYC Marathon champ) Grete Waitz through her courageous five-year fight against this hideous illness."

This child was conceived in love.

It says alot when the current Tour de France champion decides to support his team mate in next years competition over going for the win himself.

He's perfect for the sport, just what it needs at this time.

It's sad that Lance is getting all this heat after thinking about it objectively.

Athletes have been doping in every major sport for years.

Do you think female bodybuilders get man chins from lifting weights? How do they compete in sanctioned events? Someone poast a pic to prove my point.

I'm starting to think Lance is being unfairly vilianized knowing full well there are thousands of pro NFL and MLB players that have gotten away with it for years and no one really cares.

I just LOL at Lance for denying it all these years. It's just a joke now. But it's unfair knowing its pretty rampant in all sports.

He still sorta seems slimey but something seems fishy about the while thing. I hope more whistleblowers step forward in other sports.

Well, many many would argue that Froome was stronger than Bradley this year. If Froome was given the go ahead to ride for the win he would have done so no problem. Honestly, it was quite silly seeing Froome given the go ahead to hunt for a stage win, only to be called back because Wiggins was struggling.

Even worse, last year at the Vuelta, Team Sky put all of their eggs in the Wiggins basket basically until the final few stages. Froome had been in support of Wiggins the whole race, but when Cobo turned it on, Wiggins couldn't follow. Despite Froome even holding the leaders jersey at one point in the race, they still were going with Wiggins. Sky ended up finishing with Froome at 2nd and Wiggins 3rd instead of Froome taking the overall victory.

Bradley also said he's going to target the Giro next year. Realistically speaking, this greatly reduces his chance at winning the tour. It's a no brainer to say he'll support Froome. Froome had two amazing opportunities to win a grand tour, opportunities he might not have in the future. Bradley really owes him something.

And don't talk about him like the sport "needs" him. Seems like just a few weeks ago he was praising Lance, now he's completely changed the tune. It also doesn't help when he blasts anyone in the media referring to possible doping at Sky. That's the Lance approach...
