While we have heard different thoughts on Burdette, I'm curious to know what you guys think of Allie Will's decision to skip her senior season. Her current ranking is in the #600s.

I've said previously that I think Allie jumped the gun. Apparently, she promised her family that she would finish up with school, but she felt the timing was right to turn pro now. I don't get it. She hadn't won anything to brag about in the pros yet and she doesn't look "pro-ready". I hope for the best for Allie, but another year at UF would've been more beneficial than being off the tour would have hurt. Even taking the fall off would've been a better move to get tour experience and still finish her degree. Last edited by floridatennisdude : 09-17-2012 at 08:48 AM. |

That's right. As a woman, it is her duty to get married and bear many children to replenish the population after the Second American Civil War. Her career is a distant second.

All women want to bear children. it is in their genetic makeup and evolutionary instinct. and take care of their children and feed them their milk. It is in the genes.

Congrats to Burdette for making it through 3 rounds of qualifying into the main draw of the WTA event in Linz, Austria.
She beat the world #58 and top seed in qualifying, Begu, in the final round of qualies and beat the #109 in the first round. Keep it up Mallory! Go College Tennis! |

Yes, she is playing great at the moment. Saw her play her match today and she can hang in there and beat some strong WTA players. When i think she was playing the NCAAs just a few months ago, I am really impressed by her mental strength and her attitude on the court. Well done!

OMG. Just saw this. I know of several women that find this sexist. Boy, does this post sound like it came from a "Standford" grad.
