PSTGT just rocks! One of the best racquets out there and I have demo most of the racquets out there and nothing compares to this racquet. The control, stability, solid feel, decent power and very low vibration all in one package.

PSTGT user here

When I was demoing racquets, I was looking for solid feel, low vibration and the right amount of power using gut/poly 58/54 or full thin poly at 50. PSTGT was the winner.

Right now Im using Pacific Classic mains and Pro Hurricane crosses, very happy. When Im short on money I go back to my Focus Hex 1.18 reel.

PST is an underrated stick IMO, only Yonex Vcore95d and MG prestiges (among those I demoed) got close.

Thats probably an awesome setup. I am a 6.1 user now, but the pstgt is one of my favorite sticks i have owned. It probably rocks with gut/poly. I use the same setup in the wilson.

With VS gut mains and poly crosses setup, it takes the PSTGT to another level. I just love how it plays and so far after 40 plus demos, I haven't find a better racquet.

I guess I don't get it! Don't you guys think that the PSTGT has already enough power on it's own? so why using gut and poly and not going for full poly bed?

I like the racquet a lot but the too much power sometimes it's difficult to control, at least in certain situation. It's making me thinking to switch racquet. Right now I'm trying a Head microgel prestige mp and pro and I find then very close to the way the play to the PSTGT but with much less power.

Like I said, it has the right(for me ofc) power level using gut/poly 58/54.
Also, I dont think the MG Prestige Pro has "much less power" than the PSTGT, to me its about the same. Yes , the Prestige MP is less powerful, but I just love the combination of open string pattern and heavy weight. The massive spin keeps the ball in.

I'm just trying to understand what an why people set the racquet with hybrid strings. I love the racquet but I haven't found my string yet.
However the swing weight of the MPMP is 320 and the PRO is 318, which are a lot less than the PSTGT 333

I don't think SW is the only issue at play here. The PSTGT SW is 333 yet it is so easy to whip the racquet but I had more problems swinging the Prestige line which have lower SW than the PSTGT. I guess other factors play a part in this but not sure what they are since weight is also a non issue for me. I know I have way more racquet speed swinging the PSTGT than I do swinging the Prestige racquets.

The hybrid setup of gut mains and poly crosses provides comfort, power, and control courtesy of the poly crosses. They help to tame some of the power of natural gut but you still maintain the comfort and feel since gut is on the mains.

Question for all you users of the PSTGT, I demoed this racquet a couple weeks ago and loved it on ground strokes. Just a great blend of power and control. The only problem I found was on serve. I struggled to get much pace. I could spin it in but when I would flatten it out it didn't have much on it. Have any of you experienced this at all? I had a full bed of RPM blast in it, which is my normal string. Maybe a hybrid with multi would give it that extra pop on serve. Thanks for the feedback.

It could be the string. My demo has NXT 17 and it feels too powerful for me!

Ok ok this thread is interesting but I have yet to read any serious reviews of the new stick pst gt and I've tried to search but nothing out there.

Even the guys at tw haven't done a review on this stick yet.

The only thing that has changed is the PJ. The whole Pure Storm line has been the same for a few years now. It's actually a good thing as the PSLGT and the PSTGT play really, really well. There's a better chance that Bab will screw them up than make them better at this point. What if they do something stupid like add the cortex to the PS? The good thing is that the 2009 PJ racquets are showing up everywhere used in good condition so that, even if Bab does screw up the PS line, stocking up will be easy.

I've played for about a week with a youtek prestige pro vs pure storm gt tour and we have exactly the same thought.
Besides the lower sw of prestige pro,I have more racquet head speed with the PSTGT.
