This! I'll buy some Nike stock instead, their margins must be pretty good.

I'm looking for a good clay court shoe but that mesh would be a disaster with clay and the mesh/comfort is my only reason for buying vapor 9's.

Also, you have a bunch of dudes stating the worst colors of the Vapors, wait till you see peoples incarnation of the versions of their Vapors. It'll be a hundreds times worse and clownish. They don't realize that people at Nike that make up the colorways are professionals in the colors chosen.
Agree about the design process. I have tried to make my own shoes on nike multiple times and I'm pretty awful at it. I can just never get it right. However, don't people usually vote on top designs? Usually the top designs for most of the nikeID shoes are very well done, so I'm not worried. I'm curious to see how many color combinations there will be.

I'm excited. I don't like the price, but considering that in my opinion (aka I don't care what yours is), most of the colorways that have come out so far have sucked, it's worth it to me to get a pair. I like simple style in my shoes, so one main color with one accent is usually what I prefer. I got the Black and Red vapors and the light blue/white ones, this time I'll probably just get a simple black/white pair.

The white swoosh instead of the gold is killer. Really pops.

Haha maybe. But I wasn't going for a gold outsole like the 287.
I was wondering what it would be like if NIKEid had gum outsoles as an option for a purely aesthetic reason, going off of what another poster said about having a simple black and white colorway. Perhaps even quicker wear. Here's what gum outsoles are if you aren't familiar.

i'd like to know too. the bay sells some for around that price, if you wear a curious size, like 6 or 14.

sometimes you'll get lucky and find the one you want in your size.

i found a site selling vapor 9s for around $50. i bought a pair. they sent me a sponge.
