The top 4 will remain the top 4.
The top 8 will remain the top 8 (barring injuries) My guess: 1. Djokovic 2. Federer 3. Nadal 4. Murray 5. Ferrer 6. Del Potro 7. Tsonga 8. Berdych 9. Tipsarevic 10. Raonic All the players are from this year's top 10 with the exception of Raonic. The current group looks very stable. |

1. Djokovic
2. Murray or change the top two to be: 1) Murray and 2) Djokovic. Could be either way. 3. Nadal 4. Federer 5. Del Potro 6. Ferrer 7. Berdych 8. Tsonga 9. Isner or Nishikori 10. Raonic |

Interesting that I am the only one so far to not pick Djokovic for #1. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. I sort of think there is a good chance it will be Djokovic, but picking him is boring. I do have a feeling Murray could take #1, and that if Nadal comes back fit he could surprise people just like he did in 2010, and to a lesser degree in 2008. He usually only dominates or does really well nobody expects it.

I'm not sure why Raonic wouldn't be number 5? He's currently about 14 and is the only player under 22 in the top 50 (if you exclude Tomic assuming he's still there until next Monday). I think he's a big chance of winning either Wimbledon or more likely the US Open next year. It's an ageing top 10 at the moment and I expect it to be cracked wide open over the next 18 months. As for Federer, he's won one grand slam of the last 12, and has been in gradual decline. He played brilliantly at Wimbledon last year but that was the only grand slam final he made. He could easily drop significantly in the rankings over the next 12 months. If he starts drawing berdytch or Nadal in the quarter finals of majors he faces the likelihood of more early exits. As for Paire, I put him in because I have absolutely no opinion on who will be number 10 but I enjoy watching him play and think he's talented. The accuracy or otherwise of my opinions will be revealed in 14 months.

I am surprised why most have picked Federer to be ranked over Nadal just based on Nadal's "injury related" absence this year. I will not at all be surprised if Nadal comes back and dominates like he was never away from the tour. With Djoko and Murray, consistency is an issue, so you can never be sure of how they will fare. With Fed growing old and perhaps not being as motivated after breaking almost every possible record there is to break, if Djoko-Murray slump a bit, Nadal will easily regain #1 ranking like he did in 2010.
