Wow, read on tennis.com that Serena hasn't lost to a top 2 player since 2007. Damn, what a queen lol. She didn't even lose a set all week!

Definitely think Serena can do another Serena slam, maybe the calendar slam, that would be amazing to see.

Yes. I definitely think she will get to 18 slams and even has a good chance at 21 or 22.

If Serena wins the Australian Open next year, she will go into RG next May looking to hold all 6 of the biggest tournaments in tennis at the same time (the slams, the Olympic gold medal and the YEC).

She will be the huge favourite to win her 6th Australian Open title in January of course.

At RG she has actually been mentally weak in recent years, in contrast to how mentally strong and reliable she has been in the big tournaments on other surfaces. She wants to win a second RG title so badly, and that desperation has negatively affected her play there.

Its a long story but in short, the actual party in government is very pro-Islamic and each and every day they are limiting the freedom of the people. The last thing that they did was to not allow the celebration of the Republic Day of Turkey proclaimed from Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK who was a secular personality.

I think she puts even more pressure on herself since Henin retired since she knows it is there for the taking. When Henin was there she knew there was someone who was better than even her best tennis on clay, but that certainly isnt the case now. Seeing Sharapova holding the Roland Garros Trophy, when Serena is probably thinking to herself if I were in the final I would have beaten her 2 and 2 at worst, probably fuels her fire that much more. I think next year she will do it.

Yes I also think she will learn from her past mistakes next year. Hopefully she takes the Rome event seriously and gets some good match practice on proper red clay under her belt before RG.

It will be very exciting to see how Serena does next year, especially at RG where she desperately wants her 2nd title, and at Wimbledon where she will be bidding to move ahead of Venus in the title count.

I think Serena has a great shot at the Grand Slam next year. The one I think that will be the biggest test honestly is the U.S Open where I could see her being upset (not by Sharapova though, that is for sure).

The US Open rather than the French Open? She has won 4 of the former and only 1 of the latter and that 1 was won a whole decade ago! This year's FO was the only one of the Slams where she went out in the 1st round! IMO, that must be the hardest one for her to win if she is to to achieve the Grand Slam. On current form, I think she can only ever really beat herself at the other 3.

I understand why people would doubt her winning the French the most. I just have a feeling this is the event she will be most hungry and driven to win next year, and that she wont let anything stop her. If she makes the late rounds there is NOBODY to stop her today. The idea of Sharapova beating her anywhere probably ever again barring a major injury is laughable, Azarenka is not a good clay courter, Kvitova even if she returns to her 2011 #1 form is not an especialy good clay courter. Henin is long retired, so is Clijsters, Kuznetsova is no longer a contender, neither is Ivanovic or Jankovic, and she will be in revenge mode everytime she plays Stosur to the point she is no real threat to Serena anytime soon. So assuming she is focused enough to avoid a Razanno like fluke (and I fully expect she will be) I cant see her losing there, in fact given the absolutely dire clay court field of today it might oddly even be her easiest to win next year, well apart from Wimbledon probably. I think the U.S Open will be where she has the most pressure and where she will have the most competition as most of the top players excel most on hard courts. The latter point is true of the Australian Open too but her record is so outstanding there over the years when she plays it likely wont matter.

If Serena wins the AO and RG, she will have six major titles all in a row - that would definitely put her same as Martina and eclipse Chris Evert and just a shade below Graf.

Six? I was thinking it's eleven!

I don't think Henin was better than Serena on clay. Serena and Venus just seem to have mental issues when they play on clay.

If Henin was so superior on clay, she wouldnt have resorted to cheating on clay when playing Serena.

Nah, Henin was better than Serena on clay but that was the only place Henin was better than Serena.

I'm not so sure

I'll have to review their clay matches.
