I've got two racquets (Volkl Organix 10 325s), and there is something weird going on with one of them. The racquet feels very weird--not solid, with some kind of weird vibration going on. Center hits feel dead, and hits high on the string bed have some kind of weird vibration to them. The problem seems to be getting worse, and today I switched to my backup racquet and the difference was amazing.
So I'm thinking the frame is cracked. I inspect it carefully and I can't find anything. The strings are shot, so I am going to cut them out and remove the bumper and see if there is something going on there. But the frame looks solid. When I ping the strings with a dampener in, everything sounds very muted. With the dampener out, the strings are pingy, but there is another very high pitched ping as well. When this first started, I thought there might be something loose in the handle (I think there is some kind of dampener in the handle), but now I don't know. Any ideas? |

Perhaps a problem with the Bio Sensor system? It runs from the end of the throat to the butt cap and is integral to the feel of these racquets. It is a bit more than simple dampening in the handle.

Have you checked the handle? Maybe the buttcap is loose?

The handle is originally where I thought the problem was. I will pull the grip and check it out.

I don't know. At first I thought it was the racquet where I had restrung the crosses, but it turns out that was my other frame. I'm not a racquet beater or thrower, so I don't know.

Try contacting both the retailer where you bought or Volkl. If you have had it for less than a year and it shows no signs of abusive, they may give you a free replacement. Head replaced a racket that cracked in less than a year for me once years ago.

Good idea, especially if the OP emphasizes that racquet was not subjected to any undue stress.
