I repainted my den and rearranged the rackets so I decided to update my free string challenge.
There are 96 rackets pictured - although some are hard to see - so I'll send a free set of string to anyone who can identify 80 of these. I know, not much of a reward for lots of work but I really just wanted to show off my collection! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Methinks there was more than one interior decorator involved in this room.
Some green trim and you could almost have a Wimbledon theme going on! |

I think we have a winner there! I do know however that one of the double handled racquets is a Logix with built in top spin!!! Sorcery!
Curious to know, how did you get hold of the second Tretorn? Actually lended mine to some kids at my club during a tournament a few weeks ago and they surprisingly liked it a lot! |

Got it on **** advertised as "old metal tennis racket" for the "buy it now" price of $10.00 - lucky me!

P.S. the Deesse you bought from me.......There is another Miracle Woody but that's a Redwood version. That's why I named it the Ashwood.

I'm counting 55 correct and 10 mostly correct. Is that what you've got?

I'm strugling with the rackets behind the desk and cupboards. And some of the steel shaft wood rackets. Is that blue one a Grays? I did add the Dynaspot to the lot, the one left of the Davis Topspin looks like a JK Autograph but apparently is'nt. The one hanging on the cupboard, right from the Bergelin, might be a Rox Pro Space T1. Than offcourse the Dunlop Superlongs but no real idea which models they are, to modern... The one right from the Gripper looks like a Donnay Revolutive, That Fischer Tuning could be a Superform Open version. The rest remains too blurry or to hidden for me to identify.

There will be no string then unless there is someone even brainier with racquets than Hans!

The blue single steel shaft racket (or "racquet" since it's British) is a Gray's "Silver Gray." The one to the left of the Davis Topspin is a JK autograph "midsize." The one hanging on the cupboard, right from the Bergelin (MacGregor) is a Fischer racket, not a Rox Pro. I won't tell you which specific model in case you want to guess. The one to the right of the Gripper is a Donnay Revolutive Apollo Variable Balance System. The weights are in the blue pouch. Both Fischer "tuning" rackets are "Superform Tuning" models. The bottom one is a 1st generation and the top one is 2nd generation. The Dunlop Superlongs are the 2.25 version (29 and 1/4 inch long). I bought them because they are 1/4 inch longer than legal. That gives you about 5 more correct so you are closing in on 80. +/- 60 correct and another +/- 10 so close you should get credit for them.

Your Erge makes me want to go to our goodwill store and buy theirs, even though it's in appalling condition and probably quite expensive. That is, if it's still there.

Erge made at least one more model, a very attractive white ceramic model, but I've never seen that model for sale.

![]() It looked so misused it was almost saddening which I think was the reason I passed up on it though I placed it at the far back of those sticks. Hope it's still there though as that pic was taken 3 months ago. If it's still there I can offer myself to go there and get it to you, given it's condition, for free! Though I think I spotted a similar one when I was about 10-11 at the official Swedish tennis museum so they might not be completely impossible to find. Shame that they were closing just as we were going to enter, but I think they had one by the door. Since Erge was a Swedish brand I'll let you know if I were to ever find one! That handle though, wouldn't that mess everything up? |

Absolutely! I've tried to play with my metal Erge with the curved handle and it was absolutely the worst tennis racket I've ever tried to hit with. I'd bet a dollar that I could take a game from Roger Federer if he was required to use that racket!
