Texas A&M hosting an event called the Conference Challenge this weekend with LSU, Oklahoma, and Illinois sending players. Write up didn't say anything about LiveStats/Video or mention of the players.

LSU has a write up that says they'll be bringing everyone except their #1 Olivier Borsos.

Oklahoma has a write up that says they'll have 4 players there - Lawrence Formentera, Nick Papac, Leonard Stakhovsky and John Harrison Warden.

Default USTA Clay Court Invitational

Several players from Duke, Georgia Tech, USC, Florida, Kentucky, Florida State, Cal, and a group of USTA Juniors are participating in this clay court event.

Here is Duke's write-up which includes the different draws. The Gold draw is the top notch one.

I'd say Styslinger from UVA has the best results thus far. Redlicki isn't too far behind though.

Redlicki has also had some solid future results. He's above Styslinger right now.

redlicki took the h2h at the zoo (very close match), but impressive results for both so far, at times, these past few months...not much difference right now probably, we'll see who develops better / has the higher upside over time

Might also be able to measure when we see how each player contributes in doubles. Mac will has played very well with Jenkins thus far, but Redlicki with his size, serve, and lefty-ness might do some major damage in the spring.

Southern California Intercollegiate Tennis tourney about to wrap up. A few surprises on the draw sheet.

I don't get Emilio Gomez - he passes on the Indoors to play a Challenger in Ecuador, loses in the 2nd round, comes back and plays in this Southern Cal tournament and goes out in the Round of 16 to a depth player from UCLA that primarily plays doubles only.

I should have noticed that the Grant upset over (injured) Novikov was not even in the draw I posted, as word of that match was what made me search for the draw in the first place.

That makes the Gomez result a little more reasonable, still not sure why he didn't play in NYC though

tired of hearing ""injured Novikov"" every player play even when they are not 100% .. so how long does it take a twisted ankle to heal 100% ? Roddick wore those ankle support for so many years.. but I can see where Novikov can lose to Grant .. the guy doesn't know how to hit a clean passing shot.. not too many college players can ,especially when they are under pressure .. that's one of the major difference between college and pro level play..

wow, right there with you on this one...that excuse card has been played too many times, weak. If you know the players, they will tell you every top guy out there is playing injured to some degree. If you are really injured you aren't playing.

I am not a UCLA fan or a Novikov fan, so I don't have a personal interest in making excuses for him. I have just observed that when a player takes significant time off for injury, he is not too great in his first tournament back.

SoCal10s has a personal issue with Novikov, expressed quite a few times on this board, so I don't expect him to have a rational opinion on my original post.

I think you mentioned his other "first match back" last month:

And his injury excuse has been thrown out here for months, maybe by more than you, I certainly noticed the pattern as well long before the last posts.

I just wanted to see Grant get some credit instead of putting an asterisk behind his win..
