Default For Fed fans - would you rather have Nadal or Murray in Fed's 2013 AO half?

We know what Murray can bring to the table, although he has never beaten Federer in a major, he surely is a threat these days. Nadal, on the other hand, if in form can handle Federer, as shown in 09 and 12. I think everyone agrees that if "casual" Nadal was taking into consideration, most would pick him to be a bigger threat for Fed (therefore Fed would rather have Murray in his half), however, that's not the case as Nadal has been out for a long time and there's no way to tell in what form he shows up at the AO.

Who's your pick?

Murray. Because against him, I feel that if Fed plays well he's got a good chance. Against Nadal I feel that if Fed plays well, he'll certainly win, but he won't play well.

I'd go with Nadal on the assumption he'll be struggling with match form.

I'm sure he'll be in full flight by the time he gets to Federer

Nadal.

Always have, always will.

I enjoy Fed being challenged. Especially by things, that are beyond his control.

I want to see Nadal in Fed's half. Would be nice for Federer to get a grand slam victory over Nadal, might be his best chance to with Nadal's long layoff.

I'd rather have Murray in Federer's half. At least he has a chance then.

I'd like them both to be in Djoker's half

saying this as a fan of all the top 4, i think in terms of who is easier to beat would be nadal..

only because of rafas 6 month lay off..its gonna be amazing if nadal even reaches the semi finals..im sure a qf for nadal is probably much more acheivable..

if fed n rafa meet in the semi..rafa will be v tired after his long absense (tired in having 4 potential 3/4 /5 set matches), his level not high enough (match tough ?)..so fed to win a potental semi at the 101st australian open.

Because we are in mid November and he has still not even started practicing yet,and hasn't been on court for months now. There is also no time table for any kind of return whatsoever from his bumbling team. Until something concrete comes out that he is actually going to show up at the AO,I will choose to believe he won't be there. It's probably for ther best he doesn't show up there anyway.

I'd still take Murray. He's never beaten Fed in a slam, Nadal on the other hand obviously has. I don't care how long Nadal's been out, he'll always be a nightmare at any slam for Federer.

It does not matter who is the opponent. It just matters on which Fed mode shows up that day.

Nadal since he would have poor match toughness and poor itensity being away from the sport for 6 months.

Most likely he won't reach the SF to face Federer.....if he does it would be a beatdown.
