Thumbs up Federer amazing point (to save set point)

Federer saves a set point with a bit of luck and an amazing finish which left the crowd and Novak in disbelief (in their ATP WTF'12 finals)

Novak's sore loser mentality coming to the fore. Had Nadal hit the same shot he would have capitulated on the next point to hand his idol Rafa the set.

Notice how Federer does Nadal-style fist-pumping after winning the point

Then promptly sends a backhand flying to the stands the next point IRC

But really this was an amazing shot.

That was hardly Nadal-like fist-pumping.

First time ive seen federer fist pumping like that! since that simon match in 2011 when he got the break in the 5th!! too bad he shanked the next backhand but this will forever be one of the greatest shots! best this year IMO can anyone find anything better?

Federer got lucky with that volley. After that it was his excellent anticipation, that made the point look so spectacular. But, yeah, it takes some balls to go to the net with such an approach shot on a set point.

I loved that when I saw it.

That's why everyone loves Federer, it's not just that he is such a winning player, but the way he wins, or loses in this case.

It's like Ali, it wasn't just that Ali was great, it was the WAY he won, doing things people shouldn't be doing.

You can rarely watch a Fed match without the commentator saying "No way, that's rediculous", and his opponent look like Djoke did.

I thought that drop spin shot was awesome also, things like that are so much more entertaining then the mindless "Pong" baseline to baseline let's see who makes a mistake first game we see so much of these days. No offense to baseliners

There'a always the Dimitrov shot but given the circumstances Federer's up there. To save a set point in a WTF final against the no 1 like that? Come on...

Only 2 players can do that shot. Fed and sometimes God.

God has to zone like a mofo to pull that one off though.

God played in a weak era and everyone knows it. A 3.5 could take him easily.
