Default Strings that "don't move"

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a decent textured synthetic string that 'does not move'. I have a customer who had a textured string that he claimed didn't move. I then put him into a different string which he says moves too much. I don't want to give him poly as it doesn't suit his style of play.

Thanks,

Prince Premier Attack 16 gauge. String it tight and give it a good stretch, particularly the crosses. I use a dropweight stringer and let it pull while I weave the next cross.

RIP Control 16 stays straight also and is more textured. I prefer the way PPA plays, but that's just my opinion.

I agree with PPA 16.

It's TT, who reads posts thoroughly nowadays? We all just mandate other members to use what we use, because each of us have absolute knowledge on just about everything.

Two synguts that move less than others are Red Alert and LightningXX.
One because it's rough, the other because it's slick.

Don't waste bandwidth by making the same thread in the stringing section and the strings section because you didn't get the answer you wanted. You're going to get the exact same answers.

I recommended Lightning in the other thread, my point proven.

I realize you said you did not want to give him poly, however you may want to explore Genesis Black Magic for future use. It is soft co poly and was rated very high in a review by racketsportsindustry. Playability was rated very high and it competed well even with multifilaments. If you get a chance to read the review by racketsportsindustry.com by all means do so. I have used it for people who did not want their strings to move yet would still provide some pop compared to first generation polys, and would also be easier on the arm than first generation polys.

^^^Been there, done that. He claims his client says the synthetic strings did not move at all.

That's correct! Do you notice that people are still recommending poly?

To all you guys recommending poly: If a company actually came out with a poly string that had the spin and control you get from poly but it didn't drop off suddenly in playability and it didn't cause sensitive players to have arm problems for 10 hours or more, don't you think everyone would be using it by now?

RIP Control is a good hit, but I notice after around the 5 hour mark its just a mess all over the bed, even in an 18x20.

Red Alert would be my other choice if I had to go non-poly however. I don't think that string moved a whole bunch for me.

OP has duplicated this thread.

http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/...tennis/308339/

Look at 4:00-4:30 of the video

ALL strings move. The difference is how/if they move back
