Really?

ouch.. fair enough. what about a Prokennex frame? They have the same shape grip as a Wilson!

My K90s were fine for years, until I switched to Kevlar mains/ALU crosses, and then they started to cave in.

So I assumed that it was the Kevlar mains which instead of stretching like a normal string transmitted all of the shock to the frame, and caused them to pack it in.

It seems as though the new ones are just garbage. One started to cave after the very first Kevlar stringjob, so I switched to BBO/ALU and they start to give it up after just a few stringjobs, even stringing at 50lbs.

It isn't just my frames either, I've seen multiple others.

Haven't heard much good about the black 93.

Still bitter over the KBT, possibly the worst "players" frame ever to be held in my hands.

I believe my summary was "Gutless tinker-toy"

The BLX version is a completely different animal. Also, I just hit with the new Blade 93 coming out this month and I can tell you that it is anything but a "gutless tinker-toy". Worth a demo.

Ok, I will snag one!

It is still 18x20 right?

Just buy out all the ProStaff 6.0 85's. I played with kevlar in my one racket (a SV) for over 20 years until it broke. With the small head the string pattern is dense enough.

No real pirate would be caught dead with a sissy large-head racket like a K90.

I thought of buying one of the new ones to try, the price is certainly right, but the pattern is about as open as the 90s and I can't keep string in them.

I don't think the new 85s have the same fortitude as the ones of old, and doubt that they will hold up as well as even the K90s to Kevlar.

I have a bumperless SV, and a Chicago in near mint condition, but they are relics of a bygone era, not fit for combat duty.

It's too bad the Yonex RDiS mid wasn't around anymore. That thing would be right up your alley spec wise!

I'm glad to see you back Jolly!

I'd love to hit one for the heck of it, but looks to flexy to take a chance on buying unless bargain price used one.
