I'm not in the club but I hit with the Pro One 16x19 on Saturday with a string job I would never even consider and it was dead solid with little to no vibration. I was very impressed with the frame in its stock form and would like to try one with the Donnay tuning package. Good stuff.

They are actually fairly similar and I took to the Pro One right away. My Rad Pros have a 340 SW and are very stable but I found the stability of the Pro One to be comparable. I felt like I can apply a bit more spin with the Rad Pros but not enough of a difference that it would scare me away from the Pro One (and can probably be explained by my string setup). One difference that stood out was the flex of the racquets. While I like a soft racquet and have had wrist tendinitis issues in the past, the stiffer feel of the Pro One did not present a problem and I felt like I had better directional control over my current racquets. The biggest difference between the two was the feel on off center shots, they just felt more solid with the Pro One. Less vibration and shock. I think Donnay has a winner on their hands and this just went on my very short consideration list for replacement racquets for my Rad Pros (the other being Volkl PB10 Mid).

No problem.
The one I tried was stock with Alu Power rough mains and Prince Syn Gut w/ Duraflex on the crosses. I can only imagine how much nicer it would feel with my poor man's Federer setup.

Kal-El is probably referring to the paint job similarities mentioned in post #326

There's a difference in SW between different strings. My P1 measures 293 unstrung which I think should be <325 strung.

I've played with the pro one this month (16x19) here is my feedback:
Pros: Stability, really solid, also has that pro feel difficult to find in retail frames. Cons: Too much power for me, I favour 18x20 sticks despite hitting with heavy top-spin. I'd like the head shape to be rounder, a la Wilson blade, or dunlop f3.0 tour.

I may want to order one. Also, it is interesting that the TW product page lists a higher average than the single samples used on the TWU page. Granted, an average by definition means there are some higher and some lower. I seem to recall that the TWU sample is like 324 or something. |

I just think it takes a certain type of person who likes the heavier swingweight. Whether it's golf or tennis I just like feeling a little more weight at the end. I feel like it smooths the golf swing/tennis stroke out and helps out when I strike it off center or am pulled wide. I see my buddy tonight. It probably won't take much to convince him to let me put in some fresh strings at no charge.

The YT Rad Pro is an uncontrollable, awesome feeling cannon in stock form. I could not keep the ball on the court and was chewing through strings every two hours (TNT 16 and NRG 16 as I was a late convert to polys). After two sessions I put them up for sale but on a whim put half an ounce of lead tape on the handle and put a poly/syn gut hybrid in and they were like new racquets. Still had a nice heft in hand and that soft, comfortable feel but the power had been tamed. The natural gut in the mains and poly on the cross is comfortable, produces the most spin of any strings I've used and the poly really reigns in the power of the natural gut. Previously I was using Fischer Pro One's with TNT or NRG at 67 lbs but I've been working my way down. Don't think I'll be able to go any lower with the YT Rad Pros.
