Look in youtube "Technifibre Human Machinë". Chris from TW interviews a guy who hits balls all day in order to test and break strings. Its interesting.

Also sounds like the 18x20 Blade is the better stick for the reviewers. This is not a huge surprise to me as the beauty of the blade is the control fused with the headspeed you get. When you combine those 2, the result is a very heavy ball with more than enough spin on it.
Intrigued. And that paintjob - sick enough as is, but also matte to boot? Oh man. I do wonder on these Blades: the specs are so similar to the previous version, I really wonder if they just added those amplifeel strips to the handle, new paint and called it a day.

This brings me great joy.

The Black Blade will be my new stick of choice. I will gladly accept more feel being transmitted via basalt to my arm.

Not so fast my friend, the new APD is bearing down on you.

I will be stunned if that happens again. I know what to expect from this Bab beast. I just am really hooked on the control of the Blade.

But I am excited to take the RafaNadalStick for a run.

Speaking of grips, my fave is the stock Babolat one. It has enough tackiness and the perfect amount of feel

RHs,

Interesting posts previously re dampeners. Yes, I am debating, for a few reasons (including the high RA frames I'm presently investigating) whether to look any particular dampeners. I'm actually a long-time rubber band user, more recently using quite a variety of dampeners... (Surprise, surprise)... I'm a bit of a dampenerholic!

BTW... Fuji - OMG, incredible about the arm-shredding properties therein residing inside the Volkl dampeners!

I have no idea if it's just me, but those dampeners are tiny resin circles of hell! I tried them In literally all 70+ rackets I've owned with very similar results. They change the playability of the bed so drastically it's unreal. I might just be crazy but who knows!

BLAH! Stupid rackets! I popped the strings on both my RDiS200s, so i busted out the rebel... Man thats some sweet hitting. Thing is a scalpel of low power. I'd love to get a fresh set of bhbr17 in there again... If this thing just had a little more zip on the serve I'd love it. I was getting a ton of easy pace serving today on my yy200, hence the broken strings, but my 1hbh was failing pretty hard.

I might make the move to the BA93 or a dunlop100. Low powered mid goodness. Maybe i'll shoot for an open pattern for the pop... Is there any good low static 16x20's mids out there?

EDIT: It'd be great to get a stick like above in the 11.5 range.

I got 4 sticks in the 12-12.3oz range in TW racket finder. I've played the Diablo Mid, loved it sooooooo much, but it was way too heavy for rigorous matches. Like a BA93 + 16x18. nomnomnom.

PP and all the Wilsonians around here

Just read the TT reviews on the open patten new Blade. You can't exactly say they are falling over themselves with praise for it. As usual, Chris made some thought-provoking observations, including likening it to a TF 320 and Organix 10. I especially liked how he said it had that modern feel/performance of swinging faster, being crisper and hitting a zippier ball - exactly what I think about the Juice 100, as a matter of fact. Anyhow, look forward to hearing more feedback on this.

"Tiny resin circles of hell"?! Haha, love it... of course you may have pointed up another possible explanation, ie, you are indeed utterly insane.

Old, but still interesting. The video, I mean.

Nice job for Nadal at Babolat after he retires.

those Volkl dampeners are the worst! Plus they add 3-4 grams.
I love the Sampras O.
