Nadal to begin practicing next week
Matt Cronin
Thursday, November 15, 2012

Rafael Nadal will begin practicing next week after being off the tour since June 28 due to knee injuries. Nadal’s uncle and coach Toni told DPA that his nephew will spend this weekend watching the Davis Cup final from home, and then get back on court.

“Things are going well. But the doctor said we had to strengthen the tendon, and there we are,” said Toni Nadal. “What matters is that the tendon is at full strength.”

There are still plans for Nadal to return at the Abu Dhabi exhibition and the end of this year, and then play in Doha at the start of 2013 before heading to Australia.

Until he is actually practicing,I won't believe it. They have given a number of different dates for him to start practicing again and none of them have come to fruition. They're all full of it otherwise.

Dear Lord, why do you need to ruin every thread with your pessimism and general butthurt?

What did I say that wasn't true? Have they or have they not given many different return dates yet none of them have actually happened? I was only stating the facts.

I am also not the only one in this thread that is skeptical of his return. Hilarious that you get so upset about my stating the truth.

Okay, I request you to hold it all in until the Australian Open. You're beginning to depress me. If Nadal doesn't play that one, or if he goes back home in the first or second rounds, then, by all means, continue with your pessimism and constant attacks.

Isn't it quite weird that Nadal has been posting photos of him in training on facebook just a couple of days ago? I think he, or whoever does the dirty work for him on fb, uploads a pic every day. And now Toni comes up with this.

I mean, come on...

Why? Because you can't hack the truth? That's your problem not mine.

And since when did you become a Nadal fan anyway? Why do you even care?

He's going to come back with a 150 mph serve.

Tendon has remarkable similarities to charging your phone battery, haven't you noticed?

1. January 2013 Nadal's tendons will supposedly be fully charged/at full strength.

2. The season of 80% hardcourts, Djokovic/Murray 5 hour matches kicks in

3. November 2013 his tendons will be at 0% strength

4. Commence skipping half of 2014 to recharge tendons till full strength.

5. Repeat, starting at Number 1.
