I've always thought any outrageous celebration was an act. Why? Well, these guys have been playing and winning for decades so it's nothing really new to beat each other; especially when they have played each other numerous times (Fed/Rafa/Nole/Muzz/etc.).

To me, it just seems like one big act.

The only one that I believe was actually genuine was Fed's 09 FO title....

Not many of us know how we would do in those situations. If I ever won a Masters 1000 or GS over one of the top 4 I'd probably be overcome with emotion and it would be anyone's guess as to how that would play out. I think most of us would be out of control emotionally with a victory like that.

It's totally natural to celebrate the way they do. Some celebrations may be jarring to us viewers or even "classless" but we can't complain. FFS, I used to celebrate just as wildly when we won football matches back in school.

I find that Nole seems very genuine in congratulating his opponent after a lose. He gives them due credit and always enjoys the fight. Federer is very arrogant and I see no genuine appreciation of his opponent.

Fedex occasionally yells like crazy, too, particularly after hitting good shots against Djokovic...

Maybe because they are harder fought wins and more emotional? Just a thought...

People read into things too much.

theres a difference between winning a pro match and a club match. For the record usually after my wins the most i do is a fist pump to myself and then go shake hands. Anyway the fingerwag was a lot better than tearing your shirt up and behaving like an ape.

He's a great loser and very calm, and seemingly genuinely gracious. But not a good winner. He's over the top sometimes for sure.

Yeah since anyone with interesting personalities makes them a poor winner. I guess you are used to seeing boring Nadal win and having no personality when winning is being a good sport. lol

About as gullible as believing the Earth is flat or that the moon is made of green cheese!

Well I was interpreting your post, so we'd both have to be wrong.
