Fed could easily play till 2016, maybe even longer, he has to shorten his schedule, though, play like 12-14 tournaments a year max.

That of course if he's healthy. Which is a big if at his age.

Okay, he's 31 now. Course he can stay healthy. It's not like he's 50. Injuries can always happen but Federer almost seems immune, given his style of play. The only issue will be his motivation and his reflexes/movement.

I would put motivation out of the equation, though, Fed seems to motivate himself with ease this days. Or that's what he wants us to believe in his interviews at least.

I agree with reflex/movement/flexibility - he's still pretty darn good in this department but nothing like he was in his mid 20's. The good part is that the decline won't be as visible as comparing a 24-year old Fed to a 30-year old Fed. I think a 35-year old healthy Fed would play comparably the way he does now.

His prognosis looks good. Provided that he takes the prescribed medicines and goes for regular check-ups, one more Slam is considered possible, according to leading medical sources. But he must avoid contact with Djokovic and Nadal due to the risk of psychological breakdown, doctors cautioned. Contact with players like Ferrer and Almagro is highly encouraged as they help in the production of antibodies to face other opponents.

He's logged over 1000 matches in his career. The expression "it's not the age, it's the mileage" is particularly apt here. His style of play is less taxing than Nadal's or Djokovic's, but that does't mean he doesn't do a ton of running over the course of the year.

Okay, I didn't really think of that. What you say is true, but hey, he's the GOAT. Mileage shouldn't matter
