They play two times:
One is on Rosol's favorite surface, Wimbledon centre court with the roof closed. One is on Janowicz's favorite surface, Paris Bercy centre court. Both matches are best-of-five sets. Who wins? |

Rosol that day would have defeated anyone.

Whatever helps you sleep at night. There is no need to make sweeping generalizations, the match is over, let it go.
I would take Rosol at this point over Janowicz, but Janowicz is still young. Last edited by NadalDramaQueen : 11-17-2012 at 12:21 AM. |

5th set Rosol without a doubt. It was perfection. He was perfection.
But if you count in consistency, Janowicz is the man.

Highlights for tennis are 2nd only to hockey in showing how utterly amazing the pros are. 3:00 - they were talking about how Rafa "has never been more healthy" 5:15 - lineman nearly has his head taken off by a serve Rosol was hitting BOMBS all day. Last edited by Sumo : 11-17-2012 at 07:09 AM. |

peak rosol is of course hard to beat but any hard serving and forehanding guy is when he is on
It is just hard to do anything when someone paints the line with 100 mph FHs. However most of those bombers like gulbis or rosol rarely have such days. more often than not they make a ton of errors. JJ has some power too but he seems to be much more consistent that those all or nothing bombers. guys like rosol are like boxers who want the KO with every punch and swing for the fences. but good boxers try to box smart and only go for it when they see an opening. |

is this a serious question ? Janowicz is a up and coming top 20 or top 10 player.

Janowicz pretty easily. Rosol is already almost 30 so it seems like he has had his one and only moment in the sun so to speak. Janowicz is likely to be a top 5 player someday.

not sure if he has the mental fortitude for top 5. don't think so. he looks like he is bit psychotic. top 10 maybe.

Maybe it is just wishful thinking since the ATP badly needs some young blood but I think he has top 5 talent, especialy thinking how weak the ATP will be once Nadal, Djokovic, and Murray fade further.
