I can't get my head around how much he got under the ball! Was it on a rugby kicking tee?

It looked like it! I don't really know how it was possible to get it that high from 12 yards out. It's impressive, in it's own way.

You up late/early for the cricket?

Thanks my friend for adding a further significant dent in my already rapidly going down hill day.

On a serious note, how are you feeling about Allardyce and what he's doing with the hammers? Seems like he's doing well, no? A West Ham fan has told me he's slowly but surely become a convert.

Fena,

Who - surely at a massive loss for the blues - are the contenders to buy Torres? Which teams would have him? Where would he want to go?
Yes i'm ok now thank you Ross!!
As for SA, it's been a very long time since we've played any good traditional "west ham style" football. We're winning more than they are loosing at the moment so that feels better as a fan!FRankly I have to say having watched quit a lof of it on tv this year the old Big Sam cliches' are for the most past nonsense, we have played some great passing stuff but frankly don't look like we'll fold as soon as someone runs at us with the ball. They cleared a lof of players out after relegation the only one i'd of kept would of been Demba Ba, however once he went off in a huff as with his prev club i was happy enough to se ehim go.
You liking the way TH are going?

Yes, but unfortunately for me, Bale will still play. Not really sure who is going to stop him. I still have nightmares of him running at the Utd defense last month and causing havoc.

Good move on the part of Mancini to want to buy Suarez. City are pretty light on strikers ATM with only Balo, Dezko, Tevez, etc

Maybe Mancini should put in a 150 million # bid for Chelsea's middle three.

Yeah I've heard City have offered 55 million for him. Liverpool should counter offer Suarez and Carroll for 65 million and a striker, maybe Balotelli or Dzeko; Tevez would never play for Liverpool. Hell, maybe with that money they could buy back Torres. He's been sh*t for Chelsea in all honesty.

In all seriousness though, if Suarez does go, Liverpool need to re-invest the whole transfer fee into fixing their midfield and getting a striker. I'd say Soldado, Banega and maybe Traore from Ahnzi would fit, maybe even Honda from CSKA. He is awesome.

RE Spurs/Gooners earlier, I believe the phrase is: 'Deja vu'... yep, we've been here before recently, haven't we? ... someone pass me the bottle of single malt rather quickly, if you don't mind.

I thought you'd be pleased by the result!

Was an interesting one for sure.

And I'm pissed Chelsea lost, that was a tough one.

Don't worry the title was always going to end up in Manchester this year. There isn't much difference between finishing second a third, third would be good.

We don't really have the depth that they both have, i'll say it again, our midfield isn't good enough or deep enough. You literally have just two men in Mikel and Ramires, with Lampard going in a few weeks by the sounds of things. We have a big game midweek but couldn't get either of the 2 much rest.

Frankie is leaving so soon? I though he'd be off in the summer. Are we going to get a fee for him or is he leaving on a free?

I'm not entirely sure, they say he will go to Australia, America or maybe PSG with Ancelotti. The fee would be minimum if there is one.

It's tough really, we had West Brom today, Juventus on Tuesday, Man City next weekend, Fulham the middle of next week, then West Ham on Saturday lunch time and Nordsjaelland a couple of days after that. Before going off to the Club World Cup, Leeds in the Carling Cup as soon as we get back and then the 4 games in 9 days you get over Christmas.

Ramires, Mikel and Torres are going to be running on fumes only half way into the season it seems.

Shame ade got sent off but that was a stupid challenge.

I saw enough from spurs in the first twenty mins to scare the $h1t out of me.

That ruined the game from a neutral standpoint but I was glad for the points. Giroud is really starting to find his way now and theo is taking it up a notch.

Ramsey just doesn't seem good enough, he would perfect at someplace like Stoke or Norwich.

Wish Wenger would play Santos in that position more often, his defending is crap but his passing and distribution are first rate. Reminds me of Eboue.

Got to love the silly season! Suarez, Falcao, with Guardiola and Mourinho battling each other for the job.

I wonder what the chances are of not bringing anyone in during the January window?

Not sure I'd want that if I were a Chelsea supporter, watching John Guidetti bully your back 4 for 90 minutes whilst Torres has another poor game might up the depression rate a bit.

Seeing what world class strikers in Tevez and Aguero can do by getting a hat trick each as well as a brace from Dzeko off the bench should be nice for those having a day out at Stamford Bridge, wouldn't want to deprive them of that

It wouldn't be such a bad thing I wouldn't of thought, in the long run. Surely another blank from Torres, with the City forwards getting amongst the goals would be the final straw for Abramovich.

Maybe he is debating on waiting for the summer to get Falcao, it might be what's needed to go for it in January. It could be the difference between going deeper in the Champions League, cementing 3rd, winning a cup competition etc..

Hopefully we still get the 3 points next week, it would be good to go into the Christmas period with 3 teams all pretty close.
