2012 9.0 mixed nationals - who's going?

Hello! Just curious who's going (watching or playing) at the 2012 9.0 mixed nationals in Tucson in November. How many people who are on the TW boards are going?

Have a lot of the sections already had their playoffs? In the PNW section ours aren't until the middle of August. But hopefully my team will do well and qualify for Tucson.

I should have known, but didn't think of it before I wrote the post that other sections play mixed at different times of the year. Hey TeflonTom, what section are you in? Your ex a 4.5?

My team is advancing for 9.0s out of the PNW section. I'm really excited because my grandparents live in Tucson and are a little to frail to travel anymore, so it will be nice to get to play somewhere they can watch.

Lost in the playoff's with a 4.0 girl. The men from that team went to 3.5 sectionals (adult), but they didnt make nationals.

I dont really like playing mixed, but its a nice change of pace.

And I just realized this said "9.0" LOL. No, I did not play 9.0 mixed with a 4.0 girl. I can already see the forum warriors quoting this and trying to make conclusions.

I went to 9.0 mixed last year, team did well, and was really fun

only 3 of us could be on a team this year, and the team they are on just won the GA state title, however, southern sectionals isn't until October, I think they will get 1st or 2nd there. good chance at being at nationals

1 year of state-southern-nationals was enough mixed for me

played 10.0 at state, qualifed for southerns, but our team has players on 9.0 and 10.0 and were giving the 9.0 the go ahead

Can't they play in both? In the PNW they stagger the match times based on the rating, so people can play for both teams they qualified for. It is just extremely tiring.

I played these so called 5.0 woman and i was disappointed how they weren't so good. i thought they were better

It looks like we might be in the same flight for the round robin part. I'm on the PNW team. Looks like we might have a 1/3 chance of playing each other.

Yes, that's my team. sorry, just checked this. Our team came in 4th place. We had match points to get to the finals when the semi-finals match was tied 1-1. We couldn't do it.
