Interesting to see if he returns. His playing would add something to the ATP tour.

My reading comprehension skills haven't been THAT great today, apologies for that!
Are you a Swedish expatriate in the US or do you just happen to know Swedish? I wanna know!

It's funny how, despite Soderling being gone far longer than Nadal, more people are claiming Nadal has retired and is on a silent ban.

this is all very sad, but hopefully he has saved up and can move into the rest of his life with a positive mind. by veteran circuit, does he mean the championship tour? that would be cool to see him play McEnroe haha |

Because Fedturds are scared of Rafa who can consistently beat their Idol, unlike Soderbling.

I think, if given the opportunity, Soderling (and Berdych) could consistently beat Federer too (Soderling beat Federer in Roland Garros 2010, and Berdych beat Federer at Wimbledon 2010 and US Open 2012, including a tight 5-setter at AO 2009). But beating Nadal consistently in slams is something nobody can do (Djokovic couldn't get more than three before having the mental edge stripped from him at the hands of Rafael Nadal).

If he says he doesn't know. Then that pretty much says that he's probably not coming back. If someone has plans to comeback and they are going to make every effort to doing so, then they state it whether they feel it or not at this time and make dates for the future. When he says that and refers to sports psychology, it basically means he's mentally done or he just doesn't have the belief or confidence to do it anymore.
RIP soderling. Hope you find that fishing hole and retirement location you are looking for. |

I think he will be back. I don't like Soderling, but I don't want him to have to retire because of this.

Soderling probably doesn't want to come back or need to he has money he's a millionaire and he has a child to raise. Soderling did amazing in his career and he seems happy with his life.

Seriously starting to doubt that he will ever come back. He's been away from the tour now for 18 months and he still gives no indication of an imminent return.
I am beginning to fear that it is going the same way with Nadal. It seems that the more time you spend away from the tour, the more you just start to get used to it, develop an interest in other things and make endless excuses for why you can't come back. Is it just that, basically, they've lost interest in coming back?
