Question Racquet Paint Job

About to switch frames for the first time in a VERY long time.

I will have the new frames stripped and painted the minute they arrive, but my question is, what colour? I am thinking about sticking with what I use now which is 6 frames matt black, 6 frames cyan. I am tempted to go with matt black again, but with a gloss clear coat, although it seems a little boring. Open to something much brighter, but it must be a single colour. The racquet will have a white grip and black strings.

The floor is open to you guys, what do you think?

Personally, I think you should keep the matte black, but if you want a color, I would go with a white and red look.

Oddly, especially as I like the colour, I'd not considered red. But a 100% red frame is now on the list. Thanks!

I love the one I've done--neon yellow.

I would go black and put a plain black buttcap on it so no one ever asks you to spin for serve. Black strings and a black frame will make you a silent assassin.

Sorry, but what frames are they? They look like PS Originals in the pic.

I would go with the same "red" as the PC600,

Same as the unpainted frames lying next to them in the pic. Massively inferior to the Original 85, the best frame that ever graced the game. They stopped giving them to players about a year before Pete retired (from what I was told, they thought he was going to call it a day sooner).

I have tried to look for an example of a matt black frame with a gloss clear coat to see if it gives it a little, something. At the moment black is still first choice, with all red a strong second.

I'll get some custom-made handle caps to seal the deal. I find the current selection of paint jobs for racquets quite hideous, much prefer something simple and clean.

Now, I do like the sound of that.

I got a call earlier saying "paint them bright pink, losing a match with a pink frame just isn't an option". Victory through fear of abject embarrassment, they might be on to something!
