They would have to reissue the whole line, otherwise what are you going to wear them with. Ten years ago they reissued some McEnroe stuff, maybe they will do it with Agassi stuff, it would make sense.

There's good 80's and bad 80's. I just think these were bad 80's.
McEnroe Tacchini, Lendl/Edberg Adidas, McEnroe Nike checks, Pat Cash Tacchini.....all good. Agassi denim shorts....not so good. Usually seen worn with day-glo socks and dooley-boppers (alien antenna head gear). If you see it....take a wide swerve my friend.

Those denim shorts shouldn't see the light of day.

I'd personally like the McEnroe Checkerboard line being re-released again. However, the cut of the shorts have to be the current style (longer and looser). I don't have the body I did 20 years ago... LOL
I wouldn't mind seeing the Agassi colors being re-released as well. However, the cuts definitely have to be the current styles as well.

I hope there will be some type of retro Agassi clothing in the Fall 13 line.

Take old acid washed jeans. Cut off the legs. Apply Nike logo. Profit.
These look best if worn with long pink compression shorts underneath and a mullet on top of your head. |

I would amend this to read..."These will never look good, but to acheive the full-on horredous effect, wear pink compression shorts and get an awful haircut.......shortly to be followed by being dis-owned by all family and friends". The McEnroe Tacchini shirts and Fila Borg shirts, together with corresponding track tops ( I myself wear a Tacchini Dallas to and from matches) are acceptable, but please bear in mind that the items re-released are issued for a reason, the same applies to those that have never seen the light of day since.

If you want an idea of how un-modified Agassi gear would look in today's fashion setting, check out this clip:

That was our uniform on my high school team for 91-92 except we had to wear our team shirts that didn't match very well. Being a huge Agassi fan at the time I still thought I looked great in it. Pink spandex and all.

Shorts do seem to be getting a bit shorter again. Federer's shorts were cut about 2 inches shorter at the end of this season than they have for the past few years.

I actually wore those denim shorts back when Agassi sported them.
Their biggest problem, if you could get past the looks, is durability. Denims simply do not last. |
