First round of Futures F25 in Costa Mesa, CA, yesterday: #7 seed Jeff Dadamo beat Mitchell Krueger 6-2, 6-1. Krueger was given a wild card into the main draw.

I hope there is someone out there giving good advice to kids considering turning pro and bypassing college.

and what happened this week Clark? its not about one week, 1 match or even 6 months.

Remember when Kudla started out on the tour? he had some losses in futures too.

Decent week. Won 3 matches to qualify for future including a 7-6 6-2 win over Junior Ore. Then won 2 matches in the main draw, beating Mkrtchian 6-0 6-3 and former Wolverine Jason Jung 6-2 6-2 before losing a really tough 7-5 5-7 6-4 match to the #1 seed Bogdanovic

Those are some good scores. Not just results, but the margins of the scores. The results are not that big a deal for someone who is supposed to be good enough to turn pro (perhaps none of the three opponents will ever be a very good pro), but the score margins on all three matches are encouraging.

poor kid should have went to college. Could have learned some valuable lessons from playing in the Dawg pound, ones more useful than the future tour.
