Smile Current Main Rackets for TW Testers

Hi TW,

With all the recent play tests, have there been any recent switches? I think Siobhan said she was switching to the new APD. Anyone else?
Chris sticking with PMP and C10 Pro or maybe going onto Blade 93? Maybe Andy too?
Granville still happy with Prestige S?
Brittany with 100S?
Jason edging towards Steam 99S?

David

Chris: Volkl C10 Pro/Wilson Pro Staff 6.0 95/Head Youtek IG Prestige MP
Andy: Yonex RDiS 100 Mid/Head MicroGEL Radical Mp Customized
Jason:Boris Becker Delta Core NYC Customized/Wilson Steam 99 or 99S

sticky this! And keep it updated as you guys change your preference!
that's an order!

Also....what about Mike?

And....I would like to rephrase the question to all the playtesters...
"if you had to play one match to win at all costs, what ONE racquet would
you take to the court?"

Mike said that he would play with the Prince TT Warrior MP. As for the rest of us, the racquets listed above would be the ones we would play with in a competitive match. For those of us who listed multiple ones, it would be whichever one we found first on the racquet wall.

Carol uses the Wilson BLX Six.One 95 16x18. Granville's current racquet of choice is the Head Youtek IG Prestige S .

I had our expert racquet technician Paul Reed customize it (almost exactly) to the specs of a Yonex RDX 500 Mid, my favorite racquet of all time. I believe that it comes in a 12.2oz strung, 7.5 pts HL, with a swingweight of 324.

Here is an article I wrote about the process that Paul used to do my racquet:

Thanks again for the suggestions on the wrapping the lead. I just dialed it up to 11.7 oz.

How'd the lead tape experiment work out for you? Likes? Dislikes?

As for me, yes, it's true, I am really really enjoying the new Steam racquets. Both the 99 and 99S. Do I like them enough to make the official switch? Potentially. Make need to take a little bit of lead tape to them as well.

Originally I had it leaded up in the handle to 12.6oz and put some on 12 and 6. That DC composite made it really stable on the 3/9 so no need to lead there.
Really like it at first 45 minutes. Unfortunately, from minutes 46 to 90, my shoulder wanted to disown my arm. So I got it down to under 12 oz and it's working out now. Majority of the lead is still on the handle.
Pros:
Stable against heavy hitters
Serves packed alot of heat
2 HBH are wicked
With alot of lead on the handle, you can add more of lead around the hoop and won't have that "racquet is leaving your hand," feel.
Have no fear at the net against hard hitters as racquet is stable.

Cons:
Salonpa's is my fashion statement.
Lost alot of feel and touch.

But then, I am using this setup, so lead handle setup for the win!
