GP is on my 7.5 team. Yes. You read that right. 7.5.

He's a riot. I know Vinnie was well. Very surprised to see him get the bump but not Gary.

Quick story about Gary...

So, last year we were at Districts in Norfolk. We had won our 1st match 4-1 and were pretty confident we would win the 3rd match. It was the 2nd match vs NOVA Big Shots we were concerned about, mostly because it was scheduled @ 8AM Sun morning.

Well, Gary shows up at the hotel bar ~ 11PM Saturday night, just as everyone is about to head off to bed. Long story short, Gary buys martinis for everyone, all night. The whole team, except me & my doubles partner, stay up until after 3AM drinking hard.

We finally get Gary out of bed at 7:30 (remember, our match is at 8 ), and I'm the stuckee that has to ride with him. He's driving through Norfolk towards ODU like Mario Andretti the whole time shaking his head saying (heavily accented) 'I probably shouldn't be driving'...

We arrive just as they call the teams, Gary & Vinnie are playing next to us and look like they about to blow chow on the court. We ended up losing the match 3-2, the wins coming from me & my partner and our 4.5 ringer (who's now a 5.0), and his win was a 3rd set tiebreaker vs someone he would have normally beat easily in straight sets.

LOL! That's an epic story. Almost worth more than the win IMHO.

I like this Gary already!

I rarely win games drunk or hungover. *awaits sappy challenge while he holds a bottle of gin*

Seriously! Gary FTW.

Gp and old nova coach did?

I've noticed tennis brings out the Napoleon complex in most. Only the ones who look like they should avoid fights seem to be the aggressors.

So saying that. Who started it and who would of won?

P.s. had ribs today for lunch. Yum.

And I would NOT want to mess w/ Gary. My doubles partner would refer to him as 'The Bolivian Necktie'.

Getting bumped ruined my plans of 8.0 with Gary. He volunteered to play 8.5 with me next year (he wasn't drunk). 'Cause he doesn't actually really need a partner at all!

Not drunk. Okay you ruined my next line! *insert drop shot joke*

P.s. Jrk send me a note. Have mixed martial arts question. Like how do counter a Bolivian necktie. Answer: buy Gary the next round.

Btw. Is his name Gary or something like Gabriel (said with a Spanish accent)

Pass me my dos xx

You guys are killin' me.

Two Manhattans in and I'm two sheets to the wind. But I play some darned good tennis. Three? Fugetaboutit. Same thing with throwin' darts. Shot of Bacardi...and 7-mark here I come (only hit 2 9s in my "career").

I need a ringer for member-guest mixed. Is Gary available?

His game is sooo similar to Fernando Gonzalez it's scary. I can't tell you how many times he's smacked the lowest percentage shot at the worst possible time, and made it. At this point I no longer call it luck, it's skill.
i like this guy! miss gonzo on tour

Everyone is lucky that I didn't win Powerball. I would of gotten sponsorship from all ATP events to make ketchup the official sauce/ vegetable.

GP? As in the glove?

Didn't know he was into tennis

Yeah, well my plan was to create a wookie reserve and add a tennis bubble in Endor if I won the powerball.

BTW - Took Bri out to see Rise of the Guardians last Saturday. Fun film to watch with your kids.

Had to change my avatar after seeing the Yeti in that film.

JRStriker: Have you been on lately? I've only been able to do 20 minutes on and off in BlOps2.
