On a sad note Id like to take a moment of reflection on the passing of Jorge Messarina who died this past Monday in a fatal motorcycle accident. Those of you may know Jorge from the local tennis shop on Fairbanks Ave. in Winter Park and also from Special Tee Golf and tennis on Idrive where he managed the tennis dept. I had known Jorge for 20 years, he was a great guy, loved tennis and will be sorely missed. I believe funeral arrangements have been made for this Monday at 3 pm Fairchild in Winter Garden if anyone wants to pay respects Im sure it would be appreciated.Rest in peace, Jorge.

I am still thinking about him ever since I found out this past Friday via etennis email. Sad sad news had a good chat with him few times and although busy stringing he took time to measure 2 of my racquets that I wanted to put on Babolat rdc. Very nice down to earth guy. Will be missed.

That was unfortunately one of 3 motorcycle deaths this week in orlando. Something has to be done to educate drivers to look out for motorcycles

I was telling Jeff offline how dangerous motorcycles are. Just a bad idea for getting around town. Insurance for motorcycles is doled out on the assumption that you will crash at least once during the billing cycle!

I am never going to sit on one that's a given but although my daughter is only 10 months old she will not sit on one either as long as I am alive. If her date does not have a car they will park his bike in my garage and go walking or rent a car.

I never liked bikes but older I get I like them even less. Don't get the whole bike attraction

Goran I couldnt agree with you more...I owned 2 motorcycles and have sold both of them last year for just that reason..lack of education and respect for bikes ..folks just dont see them .Its rarely the cyclists fault..thats why defensive skills on a bike are key...maybe if I was living in Montana or somewhere out in the ******* it would be different, but Orlando is brutal..
hoping to play the citrus dubs with Wicked if he can get the time off..

I am debating weather too play or not...my mom (our nanny) went back to Europe, so might be difficult to find time to prepare for the tourney that's now about 2 weeks away. I have to drop 20lb and get some court time on har tru. And losing weight might be actually more difficult part
I also now have new found guilt to play while taking that time away from my baby girl.

Some dude brought his little girl to OTC on Saturday. She was probably 2 years old and just sat mostly quietly on the bench for the good part of an hour. My son would be crawling up the fence after 30 seconds!
