Hey, to be honest, i strongly suggest you get the Head Utek IG Prestige MP. If you like the paint job of the 25th and want to buy this racquet, you will need to apply a little lead tape on the head and on handle. If you have both of them to play, you will go for the IG P 98. Good luck.

Sorry... Haven't read the whole thread but I have 1 question..

Will there ever be a new PJ (black) Prestige in MID?

Thanks.

As far as my Head Rep says: "I cannot confirm or deny, but it is unlikely."

What's main difference, swingweight?

Both the weight and swingweight of the 25th seem a little lighter than the beautiful IG P98, so you will feel the 25th is slightly stiffer than the IG P98. Playing with the 25th reminds me of the Donnay Pro one 97, but the 25th is more solid than the Donnay.

I held both this 25th Anniversary model and the regular version side by side. Does anyone think the 25th is a millimeter or so thinner beamed? The black PJ seems a tad thinner / less thick than the red.

These are the sticks I'm using pretty much in full rotation now. Loving the black gloss!

Hahaha! I'm coming off injured reserve with a pretty gnarly shoulder injury. I've been hitting lightly the past few weeks with limited success on serve, but the ground game is coming along well. Prestiges are heavenly off the ground though haha.

I'm digging the 17G. 18g just doesn't last long enough for me, even with the dense pattern.

Thought I would check in to see what the updated thoughts are on the 25th. Does it feel noticeably different than the normal IGP98? Better, worse or same? I know that's subjective, but curious to hear everyone's thoughts. The paintjob on the 25th is hard to pass up, but this thread has me a little concerned about how it plays...

Thanks!

I have had exactly the same experience. I got 2, from different retailers, and they were both 10 grams under spec, i.e. 310 grams unstrung!
I both returned them and asked for a heavier one; now I have 2 that are 345 strung, with overgrip (wilson pro sensation which is thin and rather light, a few grams only) and a dampner (sampras). So my estimate is that they are both a bit above 320 unstrung, but I specifically had to ask for the heaviest one they had stock and I was surprised to get not 1 but 2 that were 310 only at first!

I have q question because I still could use it a tad heavier, though they are very nice frames. Did anyone replace the synthetic grip for leather, and if so how does this influence the way it plays?
