I suspect that 4G could potentially be a good cross with natural gut. The only potential downside I can see if that unlike natural gut / Alu, 4G doesn't have that lovely crunchy crispness that Alu has when fresh. That said, the tension maintenace of 4G could make it a more realistic option in terms of longevity.
