Default Serve Critique: Am I on the right track?

Here's a few serves before breaking a string. I'd love some input on my overall mechanics. I apologize in advance for the quality of the video, you'll probably want to full screen this, due to the lack of zoom. Thanks!

You are literally doing it backwards, and no, I'm not kidding. In pinpoint stance, which is what you do, you slide your rear foot forward to meet your front foot. You are sliding your front foot backwards, which puts you completely off balance. Try this: serve, but do NOT move your front foot at all. See what happens.

Very clear, when we put it on full screen, Wish my comment's were as clear...
By stepping back with your front foot, you're giving up 10" of court each and every serve. No good. Instead, do the step FORWARDS with the backfoot, or keep both feet 18" apart.
Your swing is not bad. However, you don't tilt your torso upwards, so you swing flat in line with your target. Instead, a tennis swing has to go upwards, striking the ball with a flat or rising rackethead, to get the most height at the strikepoint and to get the ball down and in. so tilt your shoulders so left shoulder is high, right shoulder low, at the trophy position, and LOWER your hitting hand to allow a swing upwards.

Thanks for taking the time to watch that and comment pvaudio and LeeD. I didn't even realize I was doing that with my front foot!
