This. What should be done is as follows: restructure the season into 4 parts - indoor (the begging of the year, leading up to the Aussie), in which any surface can be played on but it's got to be indoor. The second, clay, then grass, then hard courts, all ending with their respective major. Push Wimby back a few weeks and give the players more time on grass. You'll see a healthier tour if more matches are played on grass and clay, as opposed to the majority of the season played by the top 100, which is on hard courts.

So, he says he was, and you (anonymous poster on a message board) say he wasn't. And he'd actually know (unlike you).
Who to believe...

TMF and his ilk can scream from the highest mountain that Nadal wasn't injured when he lost to Soderling at RG in 2009 all they want to. It still doesn't change the fact that in reality he WAS injured there, and then went on to skip Wimby afterwards, even though he was the defending champion. Unless you believe Drakulie's laptop girl bs story, then Nadal was really injured that year. And he was also injured when he lost to perpetual challenger player Rosol this year at Wimby.

Who cares anyway, if he lost then he lost.
I just can't really tolerate his whining, he's too old for that. |

I saw both Soderling and Rosol's match. He movement looks fine to me. Of course had he won both of those matches we wouldn't be hearing about the injury. It only happend when he loses.

Like I said, I understand that why haters would say what you say. There's no point in going on in circles about this any more.

If someone don't believe any of his 122 losses were related to injuries then he/she must be a hater. Got it.

It is not wishful thinking. There are a lot of people who don't believe that Nadal's injury is as serious as he is claiming it to be. It doesn't mean you are a hater if you think this way. There are Nadal haters and there are people who believe every single thing Nadal says. Then there are people who believe the truth is probably somewhere in the middle, nothing wrong with that.

Good grief. Are people still going on about Nadal's 2009 French Open loss to Soderling? If you start the match, you're officially fit to play. It's over, guys, and Nadal has twice avenged the loss since.

Three times in you count Nadal's win over Soderling at Wimby in 2010. And maybe some Nadal fans would be willing to drop it if some of the Fed fans around here didn't spew so much crap about that loss. They are doing it again with the Rosol loss. It seems like they never learn.

By the way TMF, I happened to come across the video with Toni where your signature comes from. Somewhat different from your version of it. Make what you want of it (as I'm sure you will): http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=CEEDuANwZwE It's a lecture in a prison (!) in Palma: "Whether we will be at the top again, I don't know. I didn't know it when everything was going well and I don't know it now. I trust Djokovic and Federer get injured, and that will allow us... (interrupted by laughs and clapping). Well, if between all of us we could get them injured we'd do very well...". I'd say he's putting down Nadal's chances by saying he will be at the top if the others get injured. Nope, not everybody, not at all.

You think mono or no mono Fed was going to beat Nadal at RG that year? Nadal was also knocking on the door at Wimby as well so it was no surprise he finally won it. Fed hardly "gifted" Nadal a d*mn thing. And Fed did not suffer from mono all year long. Unless you expect us to believe you instead of Fed himself.
