Payne Park in Sarasota has 12 beautiful Har-Tru courts for around $12 an hour, and a hitting wall. They also offer private lessons and clinics. I don't know about any match-making service.

Go to the public park on Longboat Key. There are some decent players there and the hartru is in great shape there.
Also call the Longboat Key Club tennis center and tell them your level and you are looking for matches. They can set you up. |

I tried that once and was told there were no 4.5 players, and everyone was over 60, I think you're better off in Sarasota.

Was down there earlier this month. Longboat's har-tru courts were beautiful and relatively cheap (believe it was $12 for a day pass) but most of the guys were older and I saw no 4.5s. Sarasota competition didn't seem that much better, though, and I ended up paying Claudio, the Longboat pro, to play sets.
