Demoed this yesterday, and had to buy it. Current racquet is 2010 APD,and this one felt a tad more solid. It also felt a little lighter, and the matte paint job is very cool.

Yeah, not a big fan of it. Works on the butt cap but not on the strings. Guess i wont be needing stencil ink

The shop I got them from had their delivery in yesterday, dispatched them the same day and they arrived with me today!
Went for a hit after work, immediate thoughts... L2 grip size still feels like a L3 wilson. Definitely feels like the sweet spot is smaller on these compared to the last, but the good news is that they feel more solid as well. Defintely noticed some kind of difference in the SW, also it feels like the weight is further towards the handle when swinging than the last one. But yeah, excited about the new stick! Needs a bit of lead tape under the bumper to bring that balance back to how I like it but yeah! The 3 racquet bag is cool as well, perfect size for casual hitting/training etc. I hate lugging about 6 or 12 racquet bags when you dont really need all that extra gear. One thing I have found with the black strings is how do you get the logo looking good with the babolat white paint? Always looks messy to me... Infact it looked so terrible the first time I tried it I ended up scratching it off and leaving it. |

Oh man I like this stick.
Played a few sets today, won every one to 4 or better. Shots are deeper and harder, much more spin than I remember. Feels really solid, that plastic feel from the last one has gone. Love it! |

More spin and shots seem harder = the SW is lower, the racquet is stiffer and the poster is getting more racquet speed.

Just played my 1st set demo - won 6-1 against a better player than me, who i would never imagine I'd get up by so much ( in fairness he had an off day after playing a competition yesterday). Have been an ardent PD user 10+ years, and I will now add this 2013 APD to my stable of PD's.
It just felt "right" to me........enough power, felt it played less stiff than the 2012 PD, nice access to top spin ( maybe in my head, but the 6-1 result speaks for itself), felt inspired by the control and really was able to feel like I could construct a point and rally away........ It was simply fun to play with. I play next 3 days with it, so we'll see if it was the allure of a dalliance or not! |

Kinda pissed that they changed up the logo. Doing the two stripes was so much easier.
