Hi everyone. A lot of clubs going around here... But none regarding this fantastic brand, now Angell Sports. I own two vtcustom 100sqin, 310g, 6 pts HL, 63RA racquets and also a Bast Core BC30.

I have never looked back after buying a vantage almost 5 years ago.

Please.. All vantage users, join the club.

Angell frames have definitely peaked my interest lately.

Currently hitting with a C10 Pro that I'm trying to mesh with, but I'm thinking about Angell for comparisons sake.

The frame I put together

TC95
16x19
70RA
Extended Length either 27.25 or 27.5
320-330 g. 11.4-11.7 Oz.
310 mm 10 Pts. HL
C Handle Shape
4 3/8 Grip
Red BG
Red Grip

Just curious to opinions? Decent Stick? Or uncontrollable mess? haha

I'm a primary baseliner keeping the ball out of the middle of the court to get short balls and to put points away at the net. My serve is my biggest weapon with a big flat serve and heavy slice/kick serve. Thus the extended length and 70 RA stiffness, really want to produce a stick that plays to my game with my serve and ground strokes.

Definitely prefer 16x19 open string pattern to the livelier feel/action on the ball. Love a 10 Pt. HL balance

Just trying to find the perfect mix. Love the plush feel of my C10 but looking for a little crisper response.

Played with an extended length racquet before and loved the results. Don't come to net much but when I do I put it away, rather than going for touch unless I have to or playing I'm doubles. I do want it to be maneuverable tho so I'm between the .25 or .5 extension.

Oh and looking for a swing weight in the 320-330 range.

Anyways I'll hang up and listen haha

Stringers:
the frames PIQUE your interest, after which your interest PEAKS.

luis:
Out of respect for the proprietor perhaps the Angell Tennis Club would be more apt, or at least Vangell?

I agree, an Angell Tennis Club thread would be more appropriate now the Angell brand has been established to replace the Vantage brand.

Anyway, for those that still have Vantages, let's come together... right now.... in sweet harmony.... oh yeah

I have two Vantage 221s, 16x19, 63 flex, all black, 315 grams unstrung, 315 cm unstrung balance.

I haven't given them a proper test drive though, only two or three hours on the red clay a couple of months back. I guess they'll do better indoors on the carpet courts I play in the winter.

Well just ordered a TC95.

16x19, 70 flex, 27.5", 11.4 Oz, 10 Pts. HL

Can't wait! Just curious how long it took for y'all to receive your frame?

Not that angell frames arent great...but my point was really about owners of the "old" vantage frames... After all they where the first in custom frames... But by all means.. Vantage and Angell,..,come on in

How long do you have them? Why play so little with them?

Only the name has changed, the frames are the same as they were when the company was Vantage. Picked up a TC100 from Paul to demo, can't wait to get out on court with it.

I have had them for about half a year now. I've played so little with them because I'm a racquetholic and love trying/playing different frames.

I think with the extended length you'll get a bigger SW than your desired number.
I think standard length is around 330 as a rule...and half an inch in length adds quite a bit to the SW number. You could ask them to hand pick something for you though...with the original manufacturing tolerances you might get lucky.

I should probably give them a good try-out before deciding on selling them. Can I get back to you on this next month?

That doesn't sound right to me. .25" extension would increase, not decrease the SW?

Stringers probably referred to a 0.5 vs a 0.25 inch extension.

Ah, ok. makes more sense. Just got a TC100 in to try. Weather in UK so awful at the moment I haven't been able to hit with it yet (no access to indoor courts where I am). I hate winter tennis!
