Hey fellow TennisTalkers, I was wondering if you guys wanted to help me out with a project. Its a nice little Econ project and basically I have to look at the price of something across different countries. I wanted to use the Head IG Youtek Prestige MP because its my current racquet of choice and it would be interesting to see different prices of sticks across countries. I need 5 countries so anybody from any country besides the US or knows the price of the Midplus outside of the US could post it here then I would be extremely thankful. US MSRP is $199.99.

Well, I can tell you that my local pro shop sells them for 159.99. I know this because I bought two Prestige Pros from them.
And yes they're legit; they've been in business since the late 70s. |

In Canada theres this store i buy my babolats from and they sell the midplus for $189.99 Canadian. They are legit and certified dealers. But its better to buy from TW because its not really a big difference plus it will be free shipping if over 75$ of purchase. The reason i bought from this canadian store is because im like 6 hours away from them and i will get free shipping since im in canada.

Easy thing would be to check out Tennis Warehouse Europe, and compare prices across countries.
For instance, I find a price of 207 € for France, 208 € for Germany, 210 € for Bulgaria, 201 for Luxembourg, and 184 € for Spain. |

I think the reason is that most European countries have different VAT %, and TW goes from a base and adds that percent depending on the country you select to get the final price on the website. So...all the resources the OP needs are right here : http://www.tenniswarehouse-europe.com/ Edit P.S. Sh*t, Romania Price: 216,64 €. Our dear politicians ... lots of love for you.

My remark with regards to our politicians was related to the fact that our TW Europe prices are inflated due to the fact that our VAT percentage is among the largest in the EU. Only some 3 or 4 countries have a slightly bigger percentage, and all are northern European/Scandinavian ones (except Hungary...) where the standard of living and services provided for the high taxes is incomparable . Anyway, just a rant
