Default Is Nadal the future of poker?

Surely Nadal needs to change his career after a knee-blowing Wimbledon. With his subtle coaching that Uncle Toni gives during matches, it'll be an excellent opportunity to do the same thing in poker. By the time the cards are dealt Rafa will know where all the cards are placed, courtesy of Uncle Toni signalling at the side.

Seriously? Couldn't this be an add on thread of "Is Nadal the Future of Golf?" Surely he doesn't need his own poker thread.

But no, he won't be the future of poker or golf.

Of course the real question is how Nadal's career in fishing will lead to a complete paradigm shift in that sport. He is - no doubt - the future of fishing.

Let me translate for those that dont speak Spanish:

"I am of the lucky ones that feels the aces are always up my sleeve. But, [something...something] its more important that the aces are feeling like eagles. No?"

The bracketed language cannot be translated as the meaning has been lost in time. No one knows what those words mean.

the plan sounds perfect. he 'plays tennis' a last time for crisstti in santiago, and then announces his retirement from tennis (after a 1st round exit, hopefully) in order to fully dedicate himself to his new passion: poker.

He sure isn't relevant in tennis anymore so he has to have something to do.

rafa is still getting a lot of media attention apparently. it says a lot about the state of a sport if a player who isnt relevant gets a huge amount of publicity. tennis needs rafa
