That hurts.

Oh you do more than respect Nadal and I'm sure you respect Murray well enough after Olympics this year, of course if/when he happens to beat Fed in a slam you'll jump on his Wilanders with lightning speed.
Your trying to provoke me I get, but I have respected murrays game for many a year its not to disimilar from novaks in terms of no weakness.

Regarding Fed, you never showed any respect for him whatsoever.
I think this thread shows respect somewhat

What arguments with *******s? You never have any.
I have had many as you know every fanbase has SOME idiots.

LOL, no, this thread serves a far different purpose.

Nope, just stating what will your reaction be if that possible scenario occurs (Murray beating Fed in a slam), you're nothing if not predictable.

The US Open ones to Novak and the AO09 for me as a Fed admirer but not a hardcore fan.

^^ wow, can't believe i didn't think of the olympics.

Not really a big deal for me personally, but I would definitely have liked to see him with the singles gold. but if murray winning that match helped catapult him to his first major, it's an acceptable result for me.

Don't engage with Zagor. He gives me the Stasi treatment about once a month, also. The breaking down of your post and then commenting detail by detail on what you have written is especially creepy.

Loss to Lleyton Hewitt at the 2003 Davis Cup SFs. Federer, himself, has said that the loss to Djokovic at USO 2011 does not come close to be as painful as the one against Hewitt in 2003.

1. 2009 AO final. It's the only one where I saw him break down and cry so I'm guessing it must have been a particularly hard one for him to take.

2. 2008 Wimbledon final. The first time Federer lost in a Wimbledon final and the first time he lost in a Slam final to Nadal other than at Roland Garros.

3. 2008 FO final. While he normally loses to the clay king in his biggest arena, nobody wants a humiliating beat-down like that. Certainly not Federer!

4. 2011 USO semi-final. Squandering 2 match points and thus losing the chance to beat Djokovic for a second time in Djokovic's GOAT year after beating him at the FO. As a result, losing the chance to face Nadal in the only Slam where they have not yet played a final.

5. 2009 USO final. Seemed on course to win that one after going 2 sets up and then came unstuck. First time he lost in a USO final and first time he lost a Slam final to a player other than Nadal. His angry mood towards the end of that match seemed to sum up how painful it was for him.

He wasn't angry. He likes del Potro. I have noticed that he always praises del Potro at the drop of a hat. del Potro also likes Federer. He lost to Federer in RG 2012 because he was injured towards the end. No way Roger would have won that match. After the match, del Potro didn't say a single word about injury. They have a special bonding

About as creepy as a grown man having bouts of depression when his favourite tennis player loses?

I can respond to whom I want, nobody's forcing you to read my posts (or my replies to you specifically).

Disagree about that, Fed was also in a similar situation (down 2-1 instead of 2-0) in 2009 FO against Delpo but turned it around, I wouldn't count him out at all in that specific situation.

Regarding Fed and Delpo, I agree, I get the feeling that there's nice genuine respect between the two.

Federer liking Del Potro does not mean a thing. That loss definitely hurt Federer and he has mentioned this before. He talked to gimelstob in an interview in Switzerland a few weeks before the us open 2011 and Federer said he was extremely upset about the loss to Del Potro and he felt that he should have won that match and that it took him a few days to overcome the lingering disappointment.

Well alright, if we are talking like that, I'm very sure his loss against Tim Henman in 2001 was a lot more painful in the moment than most of the other losses.
Also the first round out against Ancic 02 must've hurt a lot. or perhaps the loss vs berdych in wimbledon?
there are many more like that.

I'm more on the todays point of view and look back on the significance of the loss.

Other contenders was obviously this year vs djoker in the WTF or nalbandian in madrid and paris, is there any others I might be missing. I think the nadal loss in 08 RG was the most brutal of all.
Why would those be painful? Roger already won Wimbledon this year and basically got what he set out to achieve. As for Nalbo, the only disappointing thing about the loss was the fact that Nalbo's "comeback" ended up being rather short-lived.
