Default Vokyl C10Pro 2012 - Question for Chris

Hi Chris

Received my Vokyl C10Pro 2012 a couple of days ago and note that the unstrung weight was 317g as compared to the advertised 330g

Just strung it at 60lb with Black Widow 18g. Final specs is 331g strung and balance is 312mm ie 9.76pt HL compared with the advertised 8pt HL and strung weight of 346g.

Where should I lead it up to the advertised strung weight of 346g and balance of 8 pt HL ?

BTW, why should the difference be so great ?

Thank you

CCH4TENNIS,

Chris is currently out of the office. I will get this question to him when he gets back. Thanks for your patience!

This link will let you input what you have and tell you exactly how much and where to put the lead to get a desired spec.
http://twu.tennis-warehouse.com/lear...tomization.php

The reason for the difference is that we post the average strung spec of around 6 racquets so it is unlikely you will get an exact match. Spec tolerances are usually around:
Weight: +/- 10 grams
Balance: +/- 10 mm = 3 to 4 points
SW: +/- 10 points
Ra Stiffness: +/- 3

Hope that helps.
Chris, TW

Hi Chris

TQVM. I am already very familiar with the Reverse Engineering tool by TWU.

I bought the C10Pro 2012 solely on your review and would like to know the exact SW, Static Wt and balance on your stick.

Thank you.

I have two in particular I use for a lot of my string playtesting. I will post the specs of both for you.

Feel free to bump this thread if I don't post on Monday.

The specs from my 2 C10 Pros:
Racquet 1
12.3 oz
62 RA
331 Swingweight
12.5" balance (8pts HL)

Racquet 2
12.3 oz
63 RA
328 Swingweight
12.5" balance (8pts HL)

As you can see, the two I have are very, very close in spec and I have found the spec tolerance from Volkl to be usually very good.

Hi Chris

TQVM for your info.

After adding 13g to 6.75inch above the butt, my specs is now

Static Wt = 346g
Balance = 8.4pt HL
SW= 335

The leaded up C10Pro is playing well except for Kick Serves (needs more spin) and overheads.

BTW, how does one measure RA ?

Cheers

You need a Babolat RDC machine or something like it to measure the flex.

Hi Chris

Were the specs measured with the Volkl Damper (3g) attached ?

BTW, I added 1g @ 12 this morning and I got back my 5ft kicker and crisp overheads

Thank you

Thank you

No dampeners or overgrips, just strung and with the stock grip. Glad to hear you resolved the issue on serve. I have always enjoyed serving with the C10 Pro as I find good power and lots of control from its feel.
