Default New racquets

How often should you get a new racquet would it be when the strings feel loose?

If the strings get loose, just re-string it.

Synthetic gut (Multifilament): If you don't re-string often and/or play in moist/humid conditions regularly. Quite affordable in the short term.
Natural gut: If you have elbow or shoulder problems and/or want strings with great feel and minimal tension loss over time. Expensive up front but worth it in the long run.
Poly: If you want elbow or shoulder problems and like dead feeling strings after 1-2 weeks.

I like how he made a thread about smart-alacs. Like Zapvor said, wrong section.

When I was younger, I knew it was time to get a new one when I could see the foam inside the frame at the top of the head. The only other time I "had" to change rackets is when my frame exploded while hitting a forehand.
