I'm very interested in the steam 99s. Didn't Lux supposedly make the new 4g string for the 99s?

Might be worth the demo... though that may be hard for me considering the massive 1.5 hours or tennis I get in every week.

Tm,

Ill give it a try this week.

Jrs,

I tried the 4g and it was ok. Won't make you supreme wookie in my opinion.

Wilson 99s

The hype is interesting but I won't judge until I hit with it.

Downs,

Beers?

watching video of lleyton hewitt practicing ..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTJfq4oMKqM
... and i was thinking of getting yonex mid again. geez. wuts wrong with me. i might grab one for giggles i guess but i think the past decade has shown that i am too wimpy to actually use one successfully. i think my failure is in always using Western grip with midsize head and using wristy forehand. if i just held it SW and swung back to front without all the twisted wrister in it... but i think my "interesting" forehand technique is engrained and would be impossible to change now.
(but if downs wants to send me a vcore 89 tour to practice with for a few weeks, i will accept! )

99S... bah wut a bunch of hype. the Prince Graphite midplus 14x18 has been around for 25 years without people going bonzo. i think Drakulie should get paid $1 per post on his thread.

i had a dream that babolat introduced a string that was "anti-spin" designed for flat hitters that want to crush fast balls through the court!!! GENIUS! my idea so im sending the patent downtown today!

cool year for sticks though. blades look cool. 25th anniv prestige looks cool. speeds look promising, even AeroPro is looking less like a toy... but i should just stick with my ig speeds. just wish they hit with more of a solid feeling. still, the ball usually goes where i want with it.. and last time i played i pulled a Hollywood and blasted a 1st serve ace past the guy and then it flew THROUGH THE FENCE!! That shot is very intimidating and even though i was down 2-5, after that i was cruising to VIKTORY!

Bab VS Gut - the flat-hitter's dream?

25 anniversary prestige looks okay. I'm more partial to the red PJ than mostly black.

dats -- are you on youtube? i gotta see your matches cuz they sound epic. maybe even legendary.

wookie -- msv focus hex full bed is pretty comfy. more arm friendly than tour bite 17g and 18g. how does big blue or whatever poly you been using compare?

Yes the first serve ace though the fence is an itimdating shot. Is more impactful yet still when you have a court behind you and the other guys are playing an epic point and have to call a let becuase your serve balsted through the fence and rolled into the net. Then the guy who just got aced has to ask for the ball back.

Sucky is the 1st serve ace through the fence that roll into the creek at Havre de Grace High school. BTW HdG now has the best lighted courts around. But the courts themselves are still slanted pretty heavily.

And yes VS Gut is the best string to pull the 1st serve ace thought the fence intimidation.

That technique is what that curly guy needs to teach. Not Camel Toe Tech or Lang ball larry Tech.

And those 99 are the ones that are supposed to be like super open pattern?

Thats been done as stated previoulsy. With those Princes and that epic Mizuno Pro MV that auzzie had was like the spin monster of all frames in history.

I've been on the tour bite train since last USTA season.

I'm happy and I have several packs of it, so I'm sticking with it right now. Playing once a week means the three packs I have will last a good two years. LOL!

I think we might have two college players in one of the tennis clinics I go to. There are two women with mad nasty volleys.

It's amazing how much stick they can get on anything near the net.

It's also amazing how many easy sitters I can shank into the net.

Hit a frame-shank, half-volley winner. Pro says "WTF was that????!!!?!?!?!"
