I have the pro, the mp, and the s and I love them all. Great sticks. The pro has great plow-through and is really stable.

For singles the pro. For doubles the S. The MP is nice, but it is really low powered. I've been experimenting with different string setups in the MP trying to find the right balance.

Like others here (Ross K, Mikeler, etc), I love to try out different sticks and string setups in search of the "holy grail". It's enjoyable.

That is a good suggestion. You might also try a cheaper gut for the mains. Probably would have to bump the tension then from 52 to 55.

Thanks guys,

I am still using Xcel 16 at 48, and I am having a match tomorrow and will change the string after the game. I am leaning toward natural gut now and hope my first experience with NG is good Since Prestige MP is a low powered racquet, I will probable string NG at 52 and see whether I can control it.

I demoed the Pro too and it was strung with poly (I do not remember the tension though), For me, the Pro was very lively compared to MP and I sprayed balls several times. I think MP is more consistent than the Pro, though MP is definitely less powerful than the Pro.

I've been messing around with a full bed of the new Lux 4G and I like it in an old Dunlop Aerogel 500 tour that I have. I think I'm going to string it in the MP and go really low - like 45 lbs for starters.

You are correct about the MP being more consistent though. I'm really accurate with it. Just need to find a little more pace because I play with all people who are better then me and if I give then a slower pace short ball they eat my lunch lol.

I strung mine with Xcel 16 at 48, and controlwise I do not have problem. With multi at low tension, the MP is powerful enough for my game. If you think the MP is very very low-powered, I think poly at 45lb might be a good try. Let me know how it feels after you try it.

What would you reccommend stringing the pro with?
