It took a few months of looking but I waited and found a used Ektelon Neos for $500.00 about forty minutes away from me. She was a bit rough on the eyes but worked perfectly (which is why she was named the Millennium Falcon). Neos machines at the right price are out there, you just gotta be patient.

I should have kept her cause I bought a new one and right out of the box it needed work. Eventually I had to send it back to tennismachines and they made things right under warranty.

I'd hit up TW and get a contact that maintains the floor stringers. They probably get rid of theirs pretty regularly.

Nothing like a used employee abused machine.

I wish my Sensor was better maintained, but that what you get with buying a shop machine. At the one I got out of the lot had the least amount of rackets strung, at 5000+.

When people get paid for the number of rackets strung using someone else's tools the rackets and tools are the least of their concerns.

You're telling me. I was in charge of maintaining the machines for the most part when I strung for a Univ. team... mostly because no one else cared enough/noticed a difference if the clamp bases loosened up, or the mounting stocks stopped turning correctly...

Solution: Strong arm 'em tighter!

Would I be happier with a Wise tension head instead of trying to trade for a crank? Is the Wise really a bit faster and more accurate ?

I think they have a Gamma adaptor that will allow one to be mounted. I would lose 360 degree rotation, but I would keep my swivel clamps and 6 pt mounting.

I don't care so much for neos I would also take a Alpha or Gamma used crank in that price range. Been looking for a while now hopefully I will find one eventually.

If you were going to spend that much anyways, you're better off buying a Wise 2086 Pro with a Table Top adapter.

I think I suggested that 20 posts ago. Oh Wait, I did.

After having my combo 910 awhile and just deciding I wanted something nicer to use, I said screw it and bought new again.

Can't say i regret it at all, although if I'd have easily found a nice used rig I would have done that too. Already used my warranty in short order and got great customer service.
Gamma, btw.

Down the road, perhaps a Wise although the Herb stories are abit troubling. I reckon if I dealt easily enough with Victor, maybe Herb will be a cakewalk?

I have a used Ektelon Model H I might be getting rid of. Stay tuned in the next few weeks. The Ektelons are higher quality than the Prince models IMO. They were built in the USA and the build quality is superior. Everything still works perfectly and cosmetically it still looks great. Only thing I have had to do is replace the clamps, and the riser pads every now and then. I have taken care of the machine and maintained it. If people do that with these machines, they will last a lifetime. I have only had to calibrate it once....ever.

If you sell it, do it in the right forum, please.

My post was not a classified ad. It was a testament to how well these machines are made and last.
