Djokovic has been amazing these past two years, and I glad he retained the number one ranking for the year.. Well deserved in a year, when the big four truly shone above the others.

Djokovic is the best player of 2011 and 2012, that's the honest truth right there.

I agree he was defintly the best for 2011 and marginaly in 2012.
2013....would be interesting if he can keep it up. Not many have been the dominant player for three years.

Going to be very difficult for anybody to beat an in-form Djokovic at the AO. The one with the best chance based on form is Andy Murray. I don't think Federer will be able to get through Djokovic on the slow AO surface which favours pushers, grinders and defensive specialists. He hasn't had much luck in their 2 previous meetings on that surface.

I think 2012 was the year the top 3 against Djokovic upped their game. They had to since he was the man to beat after 2011. And yet he still came out on top which should give him a LOT of confidence. Just hope he starts the year in form like he has been doing for the past 2 years and I hope he can perform at the big stages consistently once again like 2011 and to a lesser extent 2012.

He might have been the most consistent, but a 30+ year old Fed still spanked him 6-0!

H2H says 16-13 for Federer, without this nonsense above!

I suspect so, yes.
Yes but so is the OP. Absolutely not, the whole point of this thread was not to praise Novak but rather this part: As I said, he'll get what's coming to him once Nadal gets into 29+ age territory. |

Well you said "Djokovic didn't lose a match at the WTF this year" which makes it sound like some ultrahuman achievement, Federer won the WTF a gazillion times without losing a match and often lost only a set in the entire tournament.

Pointless post, their matches were always tight! Djoker also missed some easy FHs on SP in first set.

Federer has lost multiple 6-2 sets at the U.S Open to broken backed 35 year old Agassi. Try harder next time.

You're talking about matches that Federer won, against a guy he beat the last 8 times they played, and about a guy who retired years ago, who has nothing to do with Djokovic and the last two years of Djokovic's career, so perhaps you should try harder, better yet, stay remotely on topic.

Federer ain't American and Agassi at 33-35 could still play darn well, especially on US hard courts.
