Not tried Revolution or Outlast, Barb Wire feels like plastic and Tour Bite is IMO a top 3 spin string. Fabulous, albeit lacking in feel.

Seems like people very hot and cold on barb wire, heard it has no tension maintenance though

Only have experience with Tour Bite 17, but I have yet to find a better string for me...Dunlop Black Widow 17 comes close though.

Would you say they are similar? I found that Black Widow has that plasticy feel that pvaudio mentioned with barb wire, which I don't really like.

Try Tour Bite mains w/ Iontec Hexa 1.20 crosses. i stumbled onto this setup and it's awesome. Great spin, control and feel.

I have a new batch of TB coming in, so I can make a better comparison. Black Widow has this slight difference in feel...not as crisp, if I recall. But it goes away after maybe 10 minutes of hitting, then it's all good.

Tour Bite is a beastly string. It's one of the best spin hitting strings ever IMHO.

Tour Bite 17 in my prestige was very powerful. Great spin and effortless winners! Bit stiffer than Alu power but similar in other aspects.

I'm going with Revolution, as it has a very soft feel like outlast, yet plenty of spin. Great all around string

@JDMasFCK
nope Solinco Outlast all the way! Great feel, spin, pop, etc. Probably not as crisp as Tour Bite but the feel is much better and less stiff. Durability it wins too

In these vids im using Solinco Outlast full bed and I do alright with them haha

Thanks for the input all, looks like barb wire is the loser

Agreed. I play with full bed Solinco TB 16g in a Tecnifibre TFight 325 racquet. Spin & control is amazing! Plus these strings have great durability and solid tension maintenance.

I coach at a Solinco-sponsored academy. For our players, it is all Barb Wire and Tour Bite, in that order.

Definitely! For some reason I go through TB pretty fast, as it wears down quickly for me. Everything else is top notch though.
